For lack of a better name...

/tg/ 40,000 is the combined product of various projects by fat/tg/uys to fluff out the Warhammer 40,000 Universe. Neither the real Warhammer 40,000 universe, or the universe beyond inhabited by Angry Marines and other memetic creations, the majority of the current projects are chapters created using the Chapter Creation tables from Rites of Battle. This has resulted in a decent number of /tg/ chapters being created, most of whom have rececieved at least a small amount of fluff and a colour scheme. While /tg/ continues to create an assortment of chapters, Chaos warbands, Tyranid hive fleets and Necron empires, they are also doomed to know that no matter how much better their work is compared to the actual Warhammer 40,000 universe, Games Workshop will continue to let Matt Ward to write fluff.

After the release of Deathwatch: Rites of Battle, /tg/ quickly flung itself at the chapter creation rules and began to produce a huge number of chapters. Ranging from the xenophobic Eyes of Mordred, to the heroric Abyssal Jaws, to the pathetic Flesh Helms. Space Marine chapters are the most common creation by fa/tg/uys, with the Emperor's Nightmare undoubtably being the most popular with a vast amount of fluff written for them. However, many of the chapters are lacking in fluff, most notably the Emperor's Bears, whose one and only thread was lost to the warp (everyone forgot to archive it).
