An Adventure of Horny Dragon Blooded

Character Creation[edit]

Standard 2.5 Dragon Blooded, 0 Xp

Houserules[edit]

Everyone is automatically a Dynast.

For every dot of Essence above 1, automatically get an extra Ox-Body that does not count towards your total Ox-Body's.

Use these rules for sorcery.

Craft works like Linguistics. Pick a Craft whenever you get a dot of Craft. You can then Craft that Craft.

Our Story so Far[edit]

You are all Dynasts forced from your native land because you saw/did something or someone you should not have. Foisted off to the south, you arrive at Chiaroscuro, dusty and tired, only to be dragged off to meet the harbor master.

(Game session 11/28/12) Upon Meeting with the Harbor Master at the port in Chiaroscuro, the group of Dragonblooded received at least on package each. None of them being dumb. ( Except for Benuyo.) they decided this was an rather suspicious thing. They decided at this point that they should work together to discover the meaning behind all of this, most of the group either being outright new to the area, or curious as to what these packages meant. They agreed to follow Cynis Megara to her entertainment parlor so as to better contemplate these mysteries out of view of the general public.

After having reviewed their packages, and building what clues and meaning they could, the group split up to take care of a bit of business. Hijinks ensued across all three units until eventually, everyone met up again at Catak Suditi's estate.

(Game session 12/05-12/06/12) Eventually, everyone met up again at Catak Suditi's estate. Which lead to an incident with a Dog-God attacking a godblooded woman on Suditi's front lawn. Said Dog-god was dealt with and said godblood had interesting things for Katasus Kebok. Afterwards, the group began to make its way toward the Mine where there was something to do with Yellow Jade, a rarer form of the regular magical material that is quite valuable to any looking to create artifacts with an eye towards economy of essence, or outright mortal use. Accosted by a Dragonblood from Lookshy, more hijinks ensue, and their journey on the road continues.

(Game session 12/11/12) After a rather uneventful rest of the ride to the mine, it turns out the map was meant to be read from underground! The group spends almost an hour searching fruitlessly until Suditi remembers that yes, most Jadeborn maps are from a point of view slightly lower than ground level than most. The group turns down lunch yet again to continue onward to a series of caves at a clay quarry until they are ambushed by Eight-tailed Mole Hounds! There are heroes on both sides, okay just the one, and those heroes give those Mole Hounds hell. And their journey on the pages of history continues!

(Game session 12/19/12) After having defeated the vicious mole hounds, our troupe moved ever onward, Lookshy pretty boy and mortals in tow. As day wore into evening, they found what appeared to be a charm carved cave! Upon further cautious exploration it lead to what appears to be the very Jadeborn mine they were searching for. After a bit of trepidation, and then some translation, it led to a meeting with the gorgeous Artisan overlords of the place. Needless to say, antics ensue. Leaving our lusty Lords of Creation to their rest for the evening, while others still search for meaning to this whole trip. Their journey on the loom of fate, continues!

(Game Session 01/02/13) After taking their evenings rest, the Princes of the Earth awoke to find themselves separated and what was worse, locked in tight! After finding the secret doors connecting their rooms, they met for conversation about spooky subjects. Conversation turned to Ghosts, Anathema, the freaky howling wind in the underground, and smoking ensued. After the early morning was spent in conversation as to what they were going to do, they were taken before Watcher of Fabricated Lights once more, this time, it was down to brass tacks and get shit done. A contract was written, revised and the visiting scions of the Realm became signatories to the opening of a yellow jade mine! Awesome! Things went downhill after Ghosts, and hidden rooms were mentioned and Watcher went sort of crazy. Apparently that wasn't for Dragonblooded eyes and they were rushed form the scene, and asked to kindly, GTFO. So now our bold heroes stand before the door, munching on sweets (for breakfast!) and getting to know one another just a bit better.

(Game session 01/09/2013) After a breakfast of dried dates and figs, the party of daring Dragonblooded decided to step through the doorway and into daylight. Blinded by the light for just a few moments they revved up like deuces and decided to do a bit of sorcerous reconnoitering. Or rather, two thirds of the troublesome troupe decided to take their tomfoolery to the skies. However this was quick to change as their old nemeses the Molehounds, showed up and said, 'OH NO YOU DIN"T JUST KILL MY WHOLE PACK!' to which the group replied with arrow, element, hammer and spear with a resounding. 'Ya wanna fight about it?' They did, so battle ensued through which our powerful princes of the earth pounced upon prowling beast and pounded them into paste. With the eyes in the sky once more the group made good time to the inn, but the mystery of where their Lookshyan friends had disappeared to, still remained. Though the mystery of where they were going to get lunch was solved. Hot meals and, hopefully, hot baths for everyone next time on Dragon Blood Zest!

(Game Session 01/17/2013( The troupe managed to return to Chiaroscuro after resting at the inn. However the Lookshyan and his entourage are no where to be found. A mission accomplished all in all. The very next day found our intrepid heroes waking up in various states of dress. A quick workout for some and breakfast for others had them questioning just what all the racket going on outside was for. Upon discerning it was some sort of rain celebration, they left the locals to it. It was then when our dynamic demi-gods noticed some sort of weird four eyed slip of a girl was seen giving them the eye. A hot moment later, our headstrong heroes left Suditi's residence in hot pursuit! Their chase quickly took them into the lower levels of the city, meaning narrow escapes from dangerous monsters best kept out from under the light of day. Finally, they with the help of the Atlas Supreme, they corner their four eyed quarry.

(Game Session 01/23/2013) The Dragonblooded party confronted the 4-eyed gypsy deep in the undercity, admist rubble and rodents, as she tried to play innocent to buy some time. When her attempted avalanche failed to achieve desired results, she showed her true colors, and her true anima. Swearing at the party and demanding Benuyo's burning flower, she was refused and turned to flee, the party in close pursuit. Realizing the anima belonged to an anathema, the party attempted to subdue the girl but went slightly overboard and broke damned near every bone in her body instead. Her tattoos then made a run for it, sadly destroying what was left of her head as they made a hasty exit into thin air. The party's mood greatly subdued by the events in the tunnels, they made their uneventful way back out of the undercity and to Suditi's manor, carrying the anathema girl's body under a cloak to avoid causing a panic in the streets. Meanwhile, Bryo wakes up late next to his previous night's company, and then attempts to contact the group. The group being unable to respond the to the message, Bryo takes to the streets to see what fun awaits him in the City of Glass until the party signals their return.

NPC's[edit]

  • Little Flute
  • Timin'nasha
  • Virtue of Favors
  • Eastern Sails: Lookshy Dragonblood who attatched himself to the heroes retinue just outside of Chiaroscuro. He wormed the existence of the yellow Jade mine out of a certain party member who shall not be named and has followed the dynamic band of heroes ever since. Left outside the cave that lead to the Jadeborn mine, his current status is unknown upon the stage of history.
  • Watcher of Fabricated Lights: The apparent leader, or at least spokesperson, for the Jadeborn running the Yellow Jade mining operation. A conflicted past and a desire for greater glories drives her into the path of the heroes. What shall become of her, her desires, and her machinations, the loom of fate alone knows.

    • In addition to the letter, Katasus recieved a magitek orb from a godchild - presumably, it goes to the warstrider.
