Beasthead Giants are a species of giant found exclusively in the Dungeons & Dragons setting of Athas. Here, they live in small clans of about 3-6 giants on remote islands in the Sea of Silt, exploiting their size to wade through the slippery dust to raid coastal villages and passing ships. However, they're the smallest of the giants of Athas, averaging 15-20 feet in height, so they have to be more careful about this.

Aside from their short stature, lightness (3-6 tons) and unusually pale skins, beasthead giants are easily distinguished by their most obvious physical trait: having the head of an animal on an otherwise human body. These bestial visages tend to run in families, and range from native creatures of Athas to extinct animals. Some beastheads may even have biological weaponry based on their base animal, such as a braxat-featured giant being able to spew acid. All beastheads are powerful users of psionics.

The roots of the beastheads lie in magic, and as such their body parts are highly useful to preservers and druids as spell components, with distinct heads often offering distinct bonuses - feathers taken from an eagle-faced giant can be used to cast spells like Feather Fall or Flight.
