"A strong core of reliable and adaptable warriors that can lay down fire while advancing or holding down terrain is an invaluable aid to any tactician. In the case of strike forces bolstered by Primaris battle-brothers, this role is fulfilled by the Intercessor Squads." ~Games Workshop

An Intercessor, who can be part of an Intercessor Squad, is the standard multirole heavy infantry unit of the Primaris Space Marines. It is NOT to be confused with the similarly named Inceptors which is also another type of Primaris Marines. Intercessors are similar in combat function to a Tactical Squad of standard Astartes or a Legion Tactical Squad of ancient Astartes Legionaries. They are by far the most common form of Primaris Marines out there during the Indomitus Crusade by the beginning of the 42nd Millennium. At its height, the Primaris Marines numbered in the tens of thousands, easily becoming a Primaris Legion, and with that many Primaris running along came with that much Intercessors as well.

As they form the backbone of the Primaris forces, Intercessors form the bloodline of the newly created Primaris Marines. Intercessors like all Primaris variants spawned from them, carry three unique Gene-seeds exclusive to the Primaris that makes them far and above even the already superhuman senses of the Adeptus Astartes. These three new organs basically starts from increasing the tensile strength of the Marines muscles, to turning their other gene-seed organs into overdrive and finally giving the NuMarines an organ that turns all of them into a raging Culexus Assassin.

As you can imagine, having a legions worth of these jacked out marines has forced the armies of Chaos to be hard on work to counter them. Fortunately for the Imperium, the Intercessors are made to adopt to situations that would have gimped most specialized chapters thanks in no part to the revised edition of the Codex Astartes by Big Bobby G.

Equipment
Intercessors are equipped with tools needed for them to wade through various types of combat situations. Thus, their equipment are meant to be versatile and adaptable to almost any type of situation.

These includes the famous Bolt Rifle which is basically the Bolter on steroids, a Bolt Pistol which is the Bolt Rifle's kiddly brother and some frag and krak grenades when the situations is getting a bit too 'hot'. When there is one too many enemies to fight against that would make even a Bolt Rifle croak, the Intercessors is able to swap their Bolt Rifles with an Auto Bolt Rifle, which is basically the SMG of Bolters or a Stalker Bolt Rifle, aka a Bolt Sniper Rifle. Additionally, much as the Marinelets may take a special/heavy weapon., one in five may take a Auxiliary Grenade Launcher which, although a squad can have up to two, doesn't let a unit throw more than one grenade per turn RAW.

Tabletop
As mentioned, Intercessors are the equivalent of Tactical Marines. They have an extra wound and attack compared to the original Tactical Marines and a Cawl Pattern Bolt Rifle in the place of the regular bolter, which should let them last a little longer in melee and give them a better chance against light vehicles than a bare-bones Tactical Marine squad. However, they also cost more points to field, have a much smaller unit size, and cannot equip any special or heavy weapons, so they are going to require support against uber-tough models and won't be as flexible as their Tactical Marine counterparts.

On the other hand. As Primaris specialists may be more vulnerable to heavy firepower and be fire-magnets, Intercessors with their flexibility can more reliably protect others (range) plug any hole that arise from specialist losses, or make themselves useful against any foe until the hard-hitting second wave arrives.

"All Space Marines are experts of the rapid strike, but Reivers take these skills to the next level. They are specially trained and equipped to launch brutally effective and unexpected assaults. They do this with a sudden fury and shocking violence, for the Reivers fulfil the role of terror troops that sow fear and confusion amongst their foes." ~Games Workshop

Our Super Super Marines have Catachan Jungle Fighters in power armor now. A Reiver, who is usually part of a Reiver Squad, is a new type of combat specialist unique to formations of Primaris Space Marines who is tasked for rapid infiltration and lightning assaults. Where the Intercessors are the defensive battle line heavy infantry of the Primaris Astartes, the Reivers are elite assault specialists given special training and wargear.

The Reiver squad is armed with over-sized combat knives glimmering with disruption fields, heavy bolt pistols that are more effective against armor, and "shock grenades" that prevent opponents from firing on them in overwatch and penalizing their hit rolls. Their helms are death’s heads, with their left pauldrons enlarged to provide better protection in melee.

Their armor is stripped down to be eerily silent, adapted for stealth work (and they watch veeery carefully for twigs). Reivers are a specialized infiltration and close-combat unit. Essentially, they are Primaris Reasonable Marines. They are also totally not Night Lords, even though they wear skull helmets, are used to "terrorize" enemy units, and have a bad habit of leaving enemies flayed and out in the open- this is represented by reducing opponents' Ld by 1 simply by being 3" away. It seems in the near future they'll also be getting what looks like a grappling hook attachment to their bolt pistols.

And another interesting tidbit. The skull helmets apparently incorporate weaponized loudspeakers (Possibly 'graciously gifted' by the Howling Banshees during Cawl's time with the Ynnari). Reivers "disrupt the hearing of the enemy with vox-amplified war cries and audio-sonic weaponry", which assumes both that combat is happening in atmosphere and that the enemy is capable of hearing, but what can you do.

Equipment
Reivers are all equipped with heavy bolt pistols, handheld and deadly versions of the bolr rifle, with many also wielding a long-bladed combat knife. Reivers can also stun enemy infantry with shock grenades or deploy deep behind hostile lines via grapnel launchers or grav-chutes. Reivers can swap their shock grenades with frag or krak grenades depending on the type of enemy they are facing.

For additional range, they can also swap their heavy bolt pistols and combat knife with the trusty bolt carbine which sits comfortable between the bolt rifle and the bolt pistol.

2001:8003:38E4:8100:2961:1191:3CFC:D18D: /* Overview */

Redemptor Dreadnoughts are the apex of Space Marine warfare, combining the ancient expertise of a renowned hero with new developments in Adeptus Mechanicus technology. Redemptor Dreadnoughts are the largest and most powerful of their brethren, rivaling even the venerable Leviathan pattern and trading out its older cousin’s atomantic shielding for more weapons. Colossal bulk indicates prodigious strength and belies a surprising turn of speed, outpacing their smaller brethren and capable of tearing apart even daemons and bio-titans with one enormous powered fist. This is combined with vast array of weapons designed to allow the Redemptor to focus on a specific target or remain terrifyingly versatile, from the anti-flyer Icarus rocket pod to the armour-melting macro plasma incinerator to the rolling thunder of the heavy onslaught gatling cannon. The Redemptor, like all Dreadnoughts, can also make use of Chapter Tactics, meaning an Ultramarines Redemptor is going to be very very dangerous – over two turns you could shoot, charge, fall back and shoot again.

Overview
First mentioned in passing in the Primaris Marines FAQ. For no matter how great and glorious they may be, in the grim future even they are not immortal. Though how enough of these brand spanking-new Space Marines were curbstomped just enough to warrant Dreadnaught status, we'll (probably) never know. Times be desperate, yo. Considering the Primaris fought in the Indomitus crusade in their hundreds and thousands for over a century it may not be as far fetched as it first appears.

Then again, there's nothing explicitly stating that only Primaris Marines are compatible with the new dread, especially since it looks like just a standard sarcophagus installed in an upgraded chassis. It's likely that the first batch of Redemptor Dreadnoughts mostly contains regular Astartes. Furthermore, we currently <s>don't know how long the Indomitus Crusade has been going</s> know that by the time of the Dark Imperium novel and by extension the launch of 8th Edition it's been approximately 112 years since the Indomitus Crusade began and is quickly coming to a close. That's a fairly reasonable amount of time for Primaris Redemptor Dreadnoughts to become more mainstream, though considering how old some Dreads are...

They are also shown to have a major flaw. Interned Marines are known to die after long periods of extended use inside of the Redemptor for reasons unknown, although given that the Leviathan's fluff states that operating it puts a terrible strain on the pilot, it is possible that the Redemptor suffers a similar flaw. So, unlike past Dreadnoughts, don't expect any named character to be put inside one of these and survive through out the centuries.

The Statline has been revealed; for all of you who worried it would replace your leviathan, it hits on 3+ where the leviathan hits on 2+, minus one strength and toughness, and a 3+ save to the Leviathan's 2+. The article also said it has no atomantic shielding, so probably no invuln. no word on its weapons stats yet.

Notable Redemptor Dreadnoughts
Malcades: Malcades was a Redemptor Dreadnought in service to the Ultramarines Chapter who was the first Primaris Space Marine to fall in battle in the Realm of Ultramar during the Indomitus Crusade. After being placed within the shell of a Redemptor Dreadnought, he fought in the Plague Wars on the Ultramaran world of Espandor against the forces of the Plague God.
"Clad in heavy Gravis armour, Aggressor Squads advance on the foe as walking fortresses of ceramite. More mobile than some other Space Marines, they’re better able to negotiate rough ground, making them versatile troops; while they are often employed in specific circumstances or on certain terrain, Aggressor Squads are used as reserves to plug breaches in gun lines or to spearhead an advance. The range of their weaponry is not too long, but when they get close enough to open fire, the result is a sweeping fusillade of large-calibre bolter shells that can shatter enemy charges." ~Games Workshop

An Aggressor, who is usually a member of an Aggressor Squad, is a new type of Astartes heavy combat support specialist unique to formations of Primaris Space Marines. Aggressors are tasked with heavy long-range fire support and have been outfitted with modified suits of Mark X Gravis Pattern Power Armour refitted to carry shoulder-mounted missile launchers that can be automatically reloaded from internal stores within their battle-plate. They also wield Flame Gauntlets that unleash blazing streams of Promethium upon any foes that get in close.

Aggressors are basically the Primaris equivalent to the normal Space Marine Terminator Squad or Centurions. However, when it comes to their armaments and defenses, some has basically placed them in-between that of a Terminator and Centurion. Aggressors are noted for their extremely awkward armor even for the standards of Primaris Marines. Whilst it may not be as comically bad as the Centurions or heavens-forbid, the Dreadknight, it does gain a bitching or two from certain disgruntled elegan/tg/entlemen. This could be due to their bizarrely oversized powerfists that is considered as too cartoony and ridiculous even by the standards of WH40K. Combined the giant fists with the comically skinny legs and the skull covered "rod" hanging between them and you get a unit that will spawn a dozen 'interesting' discussions.

Equipment
Aggressors are armed and armored with the most advance and effective wargear churned out by Uncle Cawl and Grandpa Smurf.

Aggressors wear the modified Mark X Gravis Pattern Power Armour which includes an automated loading system for a built-in Missile Launcher. Two Boltstorm Gauntllets which is basically a Power Fist that incorporates a Bolter and is used by the Primaris Space Marines, combining a potent melee weapon with the capacity for excellent ranged damage.

For better CQC assaults, they can swap the Boltstorm Gauntlets with the signature Flame Gauntlets which are a new type of Flamer Weapon that practically follow the same design of the Boltstorm Gauntlet. Flame Gauntlets are designed to unleash blazing streams of Promethium upon any foes that get in close. Though their units are intended to provide heavy, long-range fire support, Aggressors use Flame Gauntlets to slay any foes who move into close combat range. Oh yeah, they also carry a Fragstorm Grenade Launcher, but nobody would really care for it since the other options like the Missile Launcher kinds of does its job better.
