heresy

His name is Angron (A.K.A. The Red Angel or Shithead if you're sergeant Gharte). Do we really have to spell it out? While his name may be a play on the words "Anger", it is highly possible that his name is based on the Greek word "Agrion" which means "Wild" (Which pretty much suits him considering that he is wild with rage).

How does one define the term Badass? The angriest son of a bitch in the galaxy, tied with An'ggrath. He was so angry that the part of him that was angry exploded from his head, thus making him permanently angry. Being kidnapped by the Emprah didn't help matters so he fucking RAGED at his dad by joining up with Khorne, Warhammer's God of Battle, War and RAAAAAAAAAAGE! Primarch of the World Eaters and that swell guy. He is Khorne's second most powerful champion, where he falls short to Doombreed, Khorne's first ever Daemon Prince/Champion. But losing out to Doombreed is okay, because he's Genghis motherfucking Khan.

Among his revered exploits include slaughtering the entire population of a planet within a night, killing an entire contingent of Eldar warriors led by a Farseer when he was only a child, leading a gladiator rebellion against their employers and slaughtering every army sent against them until a huge one made up of seven armies came and fucked their shit up. However, one must understand that they had already beaten 25 others non stop and didn't even have tea afterwards. The Emperor saved him from dying here, which was a tremendous hit to his martial pride and soon after he RAAAAAAAAAAGEed furiously against the Emperor, believing him a coward devoid of honor and joined up with KHORNE the aforementioned God of War, murder, Killing, Bloodshed, Battle and RAAAAAAAAAAGE.

Early Life & Great Crusade
He's got good reason to be ever-so-slightly miffed, too: his pre-daemonhood life was one big bowl of shit after another. First he crash-landed on his new home (because Khorne didn't give him a soft landing) and has a good chunk of his head torn off in the crash, then he's jumped by the aforementioned Eldar, then (tired from the killing and the massive brain trauma; keep in mind he's like 6 hours old) he gets captured and sold into slavery by people with near-Imperial tech who JAM ARCHAEOTECH SHIT straight into his brain-meat that makes it so the only time he can feel anything resembling happiness is *while murdering* and make him fight as a gladiator.

When the Emperor comes along, does he help Angron with his totally justified rebellion? Nope, he takes Angron away from the only people who weren't shitty to him and never looks back. To be fair, there's a good possibility that those gladiators were Khorne-corruption fodder, and thus the Emperor figured that saving them would just lead to more enemies in the future, and it's perfectly in-character for him to be a huge dick and not mention it.

Actually, by Betrayer it turns out that the Emperor had already made a deal with the government of Angron's planet. Therefore it was easier for the Emperor to capture Angron and win over the planet without further bloodshed rather than helping his son win a war against a population that had already submitted to compliance.

It's implied in the novels that Big E took one look at Angron's fucked-up (and dying- the Butcher's Nails were quite literally destroying his brain so fast that the Mechanicus estimated that he wouldn't live long enough to see the end of the Great Crusade) skull and decided that he was a waste of time and effort, and went off to go suck Horus' dick some more. While some might argue that he could have at least tried to removed the Butcher's Nails, keep in mind that all attempts at removing them from regular Space Marines led to their messy deaths. Though later, a captain of the Thousand Sons was fairly certain that their psyker-medics could figure out how to remove them from a certain swell guy who killed him shortly afterwards. The Emperor, in his infinite wisdom, told Angron none of this whatsoever.

When Angron was introduced to his legion he was inconsolable, and ended up hacking apart its captains until Kharn (who was actually much further down the list of command, and rose up the ladder because everyone above him had been dismembered) managed to talk some sense into his father. He then renamed his legion the World Eaters , as the old army of gladiators he led was known as "the eaters of cities"; as Kharn (actually it wasn´t Kharn, but another highranking World eater) described it, they would be his eaters of worlds from then on.

Oh yeah, remember how he was lobotomized so he finds joy only killing shit? He then replicated this technology on his legionaries, despite the Empy's warnings. Even in spite of this, however, that swell guy became Angron's 'cool headed' equerry. Ironic.

During the Great Crusade, the World Eaters were known as the Imperium's butcher force. Their threat of arrival or arrival in a system was enough to make non-compliant imperial worlds surrender, lest they be completely and utterly be butchered by the Red Angel and his sons.

During the great Crusade he actually had a run in with Leman Russ, who was under orders to sort Angron's behaviour out and stop using the Butchers Nails, presumably because the World Eaters were a bit out of control and wrecking worlds rather than conquering them. There was a brief skirmish where Angron fought Leman Russ in personal combat and made him his bitch until he was outmaneouvered by the Space Wolves troops, but Angron refused to acknowledge his losing position since his sons were steadily butchering the Space Wolves in the larger battle. So there was a lesson about properly claiming objectives, which Angron ignored since he believed that killing EVERYONE should be the only objective. Angron's failure to learn was amply demonstrated at the tail end of the Great Crusade, when he butchered a whole city which had just surrendered, and then on Isstvan III when he sabotaged Horus' clean exterminatus by going down to rip the loyalists apart personally.

Horus Heresy
Angron was according to Horus and Lorgar the only Primarch (beside Horus himself) that would be able to successfully take on and beat Sanguinius in full rage mode.

During the Horus Heresy he had an epic showdown with Roboute Guilliman when he saved Lorgar from big boy blue. Guilliman calls Angron out to which the Red Angel answered as follows:

"What would you know of struggle, Perfect Son? When have you fought against the mutilation of your mind? When have you had to do anything more than tally compliances and polish your armour?" [...] "The people of your world named you Great One. The people of mine called me Slave. Which one of us landed on a paradise of civilization to be raised by a foster father, Roboute? Which one of us was given armies to lead after training in the halls of the Macraggian high-riders? Which one of us inherited a strong, cultured kingdom? And which one of us had to rise up against a kingdom with nothing but a horde of starving slaves? Which one of us was a child enslaved on a world of monsters, with his brain cut up by carving knives? Listen to your blue-clad wretches yelling of courage and honour, courage and honour, courage and honour. Do you even know the meaning of those words? Courage is fighting the kingdom which enslaves you, no matter that their armies outnumber yours by ten-thousand to one. You know nothing of courage. Honour is resisting a tyrant when all others suckle and grow fat on the hypocrisy he feeds them. You know nothing of honour."

Choke on deez nuts, Papa Smurf. Guilliman could only quip this back before running the fuck away:

"You’re still a slave, Angron. Enslaved by your past, blind to the future. Too hateful to learn. Too spiteful to prosper."

And in a way, both of them were right. (Although to be fair, the Butcher's Nails had long since destroyed Angron's ability to feel any emotion other than unrelenting fury.)

It should also be noted that <s>during this battle</s> one or two battles beforehand a Warhound Scout Titan tried to step on Lorgar after the Aurelian had taken two discharges of the the titan's main weapon and was badly hurt in the process.
Angron stepped in to save his brother basically catching the titan's foot and setting a new world record in squat weightlifting, keeping the titans weight suspended above himself through his sheer strength and RAGE, until Lorgar could escape. Because that's how the Red Angel rolls. The relationship between these two primarchs was pretty remarkable, and Lorgar repaid the favor by arranging his ascension into a Daemon Prince, although the transformation was so traumatic that even the Urizen couldn't help but feel a moment of doubt over what he had done.

And even in daemonhood, they still can't get the Nails out. Dang. Archeotech was built to last!

41st Millennium
Angron has done far more shit than all the other Daemon Primarchs put together. Instead of <strike>sitting around being a painting on some Chaos God's wall</strike> Killing TWO Primarchs, sitting around while being a rotting fatass and feeling sorry for themselves, <strike>sitting around and yelling just as planned anytime anything happens</strike> (Magnus personally attacked Fenris itself and laid waste to much of the planet and destroyed a lot of gene-seed, proving that Tzeentch can get shit done too),sitting around and preaching constantly, being (Maybe) dead, or being missing Angron actually gets shit done and boy howdy when he rages his way out of the eye of terror he makes sure that everyone knows about it...by tearing everything that gets in his way a new one until he finally gets thrown back into the warp by drowning in a quadrillion metric fucktons of Imperial Guardsmen, Planetary Defense Force soldiers, Spehss Mehreens, Witch Hunters, Bolter Bitches, Titans, Inquisitorial Stormtroopers, Daemonhunters, and Grey Knights, but to be fair, everyone kind of does that when the Imperium <strike>finishes the paperwork needed to</strike> retaliates.

One day the Chaos Pretty Marines asked if they could join his World Eaters in his Dominion of Fire campaign, he responded to this offer by chopping up 900 of the prissy little Slaanesh worshiping faggots and grabbed their Chaos Chapter Master and Chief Sorcerer by the necks and tossed them into a black hole while screaming "FFFFFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU-" throughout the entire hour of butchery. To this day the Chaos Pretty Marines remain too undermanned to participate in any black crusades or Angron rages, which isn't really a surprise since Angron has been fucking the loyalist Pretty Marines' shit up at every turn.

He also slaughtered his way throughout Imperial Space for over a century with 50,000 World Eater Berserkers and destroyed/maim'dkill'dburn'd/broke the backs of/split open/fucked 70 sectors. However, in a subsequent Imperial offensive, Angron was banished to the warp and his men routed. To be fair, this strike force comprised 2 Titan Legions, 4 full Spess Mehreen chapters and over 30 Imperial Guard regiments to do that. And again to be fair, they put up quite a fight against the superior force. And even more impressive was that Angron's force only comprised Close Combat heavy infantry, no ranged support, and no artillery. Later on, he showed up with an even bigger force to attack Armageddon. The Imperium responded in kind, sending in one hundred Grey Knight Terminators, and all but ten of them died fighting Angron and his Bloodthirster posse(and only because their prodigy Librarian Hyperion managed to shatter his sword, and he STILL managed to murder their leader with just his bare fists). He is armed with a really huge fucking chainaxe that's taller than him with chainswords for the chainteeth of the chainaxe. He's also got a stormbolter, but we wouldn't be surprised if that fired chainswords as well. Fittingly enough, it was called 'Godtearer'.

In video games
Unfortunately, he hasn't appeared in any of the official games, which greatly displeases Khorne. However, in the Ultimate Apocalypse mod for Dawn of War, he takes the place of the Chaos Daemons' "game-ending win button" unit - and he's a walking rapetrain that can obliterate buildings with a single hit, take out Titans in three, make himself invincible, and summon a retinue of Bloodthirsters. <strike>So he's really the best unit in the game.</strike> The Grand Master, Arch Angel and The Generals Personal Reaver titan disagree.

On the tabletop
He has stats from White Dwarf that makes him a 500 point walking rapemachine who makes Abaddon the Despoiler and Mephiston look like total pussies, but you have to get him a bodyguard of at least 7-12 bloodthirsters, which effectively racks up his point cost to over 1300 at the least. But with his mandatory bloodthirster bodyguard he can even kill An'ggrath, the biggest and baddest bloodthirster of them all. But they would never fight in canon because An'ggrath is one of the only entities in the universe that Angron respects due to An'ggrath's equal capacity for RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAEEEEEEEEGGGG!!!... oh and Khorne says his champions can't fight each other because despite being balls-to-the-wall angry, Khorne knows well enough that the more champions he has on his side, the more blood spilled on his behalf. Thus, offing one of his champs is counter-productive since he's losing more than he's eventually gaining.

The Horus Heresy rules for him are only a bit less scary, and a lot cheaper too (20%, in fact).
}<br style="clear: both; height: 0px;" /><br>

Obviously one of the strongest Primarch in the game when things come to HtH, Angron has a 3+ armor (weak for a demigod), 4+ invulnerable, FNP 6+, the Primarch rule, 5 wounds and T6. On the charge he has 7 S9 attacks (6 S8 normally) at WS9 with Hatred, so he gets to reroll to-hit rolls on the first turn of any combat, while also having Armourbane and dealing Instant Death on to wound roll of 6, in case S8-9 doesn't instagib anything right away. Thanks to the Butcher's Nail he will gain 1 bonus attack, up to 10 total attacks, for every Independent Character or Infantry unit he kills/destroys in close combat (But he must be the one to give the fatal blow/remove the last model to pick up this bonus) and he can also challenge as many times as there are Independent Characters and units in combat with him thanks to the Red Sands rule, assuring he will at least pick some extra attacks during the course of the game. The obvious downsides are that, aside from butchering things in melee, Angron cannot do anything: he doesn't buff his army in any way aside 12" aura of Fearless, while other Primarchs bestow significant buffs to their armies, and of course he is one of the (if not THE) most fragile of the Primarchs, having only 5 wounds and 3+/4++ with nothing but unreliable 6+ FNP to back it up. So all in all he's much like Kharn on steroids: you reach melee - you're king, you get your transport blown up and then get kited across the table - you're fucked. The other problem he shares with Kharn is that he tends to annihilate anything he charges in one phase either through sweeping advance or just by killing everyone outright, which leaves him vulnerable to enemy fire afterwards.

Angron VS other Primarchs:
<div class="toccolours mw-collapsible mw-collapsed" style="100%">
Primarch fighting, while fun to see, isn't a very competitive thing to do as it'll usually tie up both Primarchs for the entire game without either of them dying (But with Angron this is less likely as you're going to die or kill fast!), with that in mind this section is about how Angron fares against other Primarchs Mathammer wise. Please note that all the various abilities are taken into accounts when possible and the match-ups assume the Primarchs are the only ones involved in the fighting, so various abilities like Angron's "The Butcher's Nails" and Rampage do not provide any bonuses. The fights are supposed to be in a vacuum for simplicity (So no Furious Charge for our hero...), but notes are added to make things clearer in particular instances. Also all of the Primarchs use their most powerful weapons (because why have a contest if you don't do your best?)
<div class="mw-collapsible-content">

* Angron VS Horus
**Horus hits 3 times, wounds 2.667 times, 1.111 after saves and FNP, and IWND will take that down to 0.778 wounds at the start of the next turn.
**Angron Round 1: hits 5.333 times, wounds 4.444 times, 1.48 after saves, and IWND take it down to 1.148.
**Angron Round 2 and thereafter: hits 4 times, wounds 3.333 times, 1.111 times after saves and IWND will take that down to 0.778 wounds at the start of the next turn.
**Even without taking into account Disabling Strike, Horus wins (though barely) as his superior wounds and saves makes him overcome the damage output of Angron. That's why I didn't include the statistics but with Disambling Strike acting Angron would fastly become unable to do any damage to Horus, making the victory a lot more certain.

* Angron vs Mortarion
**Mortarion hits 2.5 times, wounds 1.666 times, 0.833 times after saves and IWND will take that down to 0.5 wounds at the start of the next turn.
**Angron Round 1: hits 5.333 times, wounds 3.555 times, 1.777 after saves, and IWND take it down to 1.222.
**Angron Round 2: hits 4 times, wounds 2.666 times, 1.333 times after saves and IWND will take that down to 0.778 wounds at the start of the next turn.
**Mortarion just barely loses this fight by one turn as his extra wound almost allows him to outlast Angron.

* Angron vs Fulgrim
**Fulgrim hits 3.5 times, wounds 2.333 times (2.722 times if his warlord trait is Child of Terra), 1.166 (1.361) times after saves, 1.069 (1.248) after Feel No Pain (remember that half of the attacks that wound cause Instant Death) and IWND will take that down to 0.736 (0.915) wounds at the start of the next turn.
**A really close fight: Angron does marginally more damage (if Fulgrim doesn't chose Child of Terra as his Warlord Trait) but is frailer (the irony!) with a weaker save and 1 less wound (I guess that's the catch to have nails inserted directly into your brain...) so he will need 6 (6.1) rounds to kill Fulgrim, with the latter also needing 6 (5.5), but since Fulgrim has higher initiative he'll strike first and kill Angron just slightly before he's killed. Also with Child of Terra there is almost no contest...

* Angron VS Ferrus
**Ferrus hits 2.5 times, wounds 2.083 times, 0.868 times after saves and FNP, and IWND will take that down to 0.535 wounds at the start of the next turn.
**Angron Round 1: hits 5.333 times, wounds 3.555 times, 1.185 after saves, and IWND take it down to 0.852.
**Angron Round 2: hits 4 times, wounds 2.666 times, 0.889 times after saves and IWND will take that down to 0.556 wounds at the start of the next turn.
**Again even if Angron does overall more damage, Ferrus is so tanky that he will kill Angron before he can kill him (on turn 9, while Angron need 10). Also Ferrus strikes before him thanks to strikedown, making his victory even more guaranted.

* Angron VS Konrad Curze
**Curze hits 3 times, wounds 2.25 times, 0.9375 wounds after saves and FNP and IWND will take that down to 0.604 wounds at the start of the next turn.
**Angron Round 1: hits 5.333 times, wounds 4.444 times, 2.222 after saves, and IWND take it down to 1.889.
**Angron Round 2 and thereafter: hits 4 times, wounds 3.333 times, 1.667 times after saves and IWND will take that down to 1.333 wounds at the start of the next turn.
**Angron easily wins, doing a lot more damage and receiving less in turn.
**Note: Curze can Hit & Run, but by doing so he would only gain one more attack, while allowing Angron to reset his Hatred, thus actually making himself dies even faster.

* Angron VS Vulkan
**Vulkan hits 2 times, wounds 1.666 times, 0.833 wounds after saves (ID Negates FNP) and IWND will take that down to 0.5 wounds at the start of the next turn.
**Angron Round 1: hits 5.333 times, wounds 3.555 times, 1.185 after saves, and IWND take it down to 0.63.
**Angron Round 2: hits 4 times, wounds 2.666 times, 0.889 times after saves and IWND will take that down to 0.333 wounds at the start of the next turn.
**Strangely enough, Vulkan wins through sheer resilience. Then again, he is immortal...

* Angron VS Lorgar
**Lorgar hits 2.5 times, wounds 2.083 times, 0.833 after saves and FNP and IWND will take that to 0.5 wounds at the start of the next turn.
**Angron Round 1: hits 4 times, wounds 3.111 times, 1.555 after saves, and IWND take it down to 1.222.
**Angron Round 2 and thereafter: hits 4 times, wounds 3.333 times, 1.667 times after saves and IWND will take that down to 1.333 wounds at the start of the next turn.
**Angron wins pretty easily.
**Note: against Lorgar Transfigured with Precognition Lorgar wins (Not as easily as the old version, but is still a monster).

*Angron VS Perturabo
**Perturabo hits 2 times, wounds 1.667 times, 0.69 wounds after saves and IWND will take that down to 0.361 wounds at the start of the next turn.
**Angron wins.
**Note: in the turn after Perturabo actually wounds Angron (69% per round) he will most probably be blinded and then hammered to death. So if he can't kill him before that he is actually dead meat.

* Angron VS Alpharius
**Alpharius hits 2.917 times, wounds 1.7 times, 0.71 wounds after saves and FNP and IWND will take that down to 0.375 wounds at the start of the next turn.
**Angron easily takes the win.

* Angron VS Rogal Dorn
**Dorn hits 2 times, wounds 1.5 times, 0.625 wounds after saves and FNP and IWND will take that down to 0.291 wounds at the start of the next turn.
**Angron Round 1: hits 5.333 times, wounds 3.555 times, 1.777 after saves, and IWND take it down to 1.444.
**Angron Round 2 and thereafter: hits 4 times, wounds 2.667 times, 1.333 times after saves and IWND will take that down to 1 wounds at the start of the next turn.
**Angron easily wins.
**Note: Rogal Dorn does not use Sundering Blow because it is inefficient in Primarch vs Primarch fights.

* Angron VS Corvus Corax
**Corvus hits 4 times (Scourge)/3 times (Shadow-walk), wounds 3 times (Scourge)/2.25 times (Shadow-walk), 1.25 wounds (Scourge)/0.9375 wounds (Shadow-walk) after saves and FNP and IWND will take that down to 0.917/0.604 wounds at the start of the next turn.
**Angron Round 1: hits 5.333/4.5 times, wounds 4.444/3.75 times, 2.963/2.5 after saves, and IWND take it down to 2.63/2.167.
**Angron Round 2 and thereafter: hits 4/3 times, wounds 3.333/2.5 times, 2.222/1.667 times after saves and IWND will take that down to 1.889/1.333 wounds at the start of the next turn.
**Angron wins really easily as Corax is simply too frail for him.
**Note: differently from Curze, Corax would actually have the edge on the charge thanks to his Sire of the Raven Guard rule and his Hammer of Wrath/dual Archeotech Pistols. Also in a turn in wich blind goes off he could have the andvantage od Shadow-walk and scourge at the same times (plus more, 'cause he would hit on 3s). A though fight, but more on his style and it could make him win in extremis.

* Angron VS Roboute Guilliman
**Guilliman Round 1/2/3: hits 2.5 times, wounds 2.222 times, 0.926 times after saves and FNP, and IWND will take that down to 0.59 wounds at the start of the next turn.
**Guilliman Round 4 and thereafter: hits 3.333 times, wounds 2.963 times, 1.234 times after saves and FNP, and IWND will take that down to 0.9 wounds at the start of the next turn.
**Angron Round 1: hits 5.333 times, wounds 4.444 times, 2.222 after saves, 1.722 after Armor of Reason re-roll and IWND take it down to 1.388.
**Angron Round 2: Angron hits 4 times, wounds 3.333 times, 1.667 times after saves, 1.167 after re-roll and IWND will take that down to 0.833 wounds at the start of the next turn.
**Angron Round 3 and thereafter: Angron hits 3 times, wounds 2.5 times, 1.25 after saves and 0.75 after re-roll. Then IWND take it down to 0.417
**Surprisingly, Guilliman win this fight in 8 rounds (Angron need 11 to kill him), 'for his resilience (Armour of Reason) coupled with Preternatural Strategy makes him outdamage Angron on the long run, even though initially it was the Red Angel to have the edge. Lets try this again when the rules for Daemon Primarch Angron come out...

* TLDR version: Angron is incredibly strong against "frail" primarchs, butchering them pretty fast, but struggle to keep up with the tanks (Vulkan, Ferrus, and even...Guilliman...) and being pretty frail doesn't do him any good. Also he is pretty vulnerable to Strikedown, Concussive or Blind, all of wich will severaly cripple his overall damage potential. Also, with his attacks maxed out he can destroy any other Primarch (even Lorgar with Precognition, though it is damn close) with the exception of...yeah, you guessed it right: Horus! Even though he will surely put a dent even in the Warmaster.

Captain Titus, first name generally assumed to be "Motherfucking", is the Captain of the Ultramarines Second Company and the protagonist of the vidya Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine. He is voiced by MARK MOTHERFUCKING STRONG!!!!

Graia
When Forgeworld Graia was invaded by Warboss Grimskull and his Ork WAAAAGHH!!!, the Imperium, rather annoyed by this, in particular because of fear of losing some Warlord-class Titans, responded by sending the Ultramarines Second Company, led by Captain Titus. Titus, along with fellow Ultramarines Brother Leandros and Veteran Sergeant Sidonus, proceeded to aid the remaining Imperial Guardsmen led by Second Lieutenant Miranda 'Mira' Nero.

After destroying a captured planetary defense cannon that was shooting down Imperial reinforcements ("Clever of the damned Orks", as Sidonus put it), and furthering the guardsmen's advance, Titus and his companions made their way to Manufactorum Ajakis, where they found an inquisitorial servo skull, which carried a holographic video recording. The recording shows Inquisitor Drogan asking for aid, along with safeguarding an experimental device if he were to die. The Ultramarines then made their way inside the Titan works where they found the Titan Invictus, intact but abandoned, and Drogan. Drogan explained that he needed to retrieve the power source of the experimental device from its chamber deep beneath the Manufactorum. They then proceeded to retrieve the power source, whilst also killing invading Orks and evading Grimskull himself.

As Titus obtained the power source, its instability made the entire room collapse. Titus, however, somehow survived and placed the power source into its canister. After escaping the sewers and reuniting with his comrades, they rendez-voused with Drogan in a ruined plaza. Drogan expressed surprise that Titus survived, since the power source was composed of Warp energy. Drogan then explains that during his time on Graia, he created a weapon known as the 'Psychic Scourge' in hopes of helping the Imperium's war against xenos, whilst also experimenting on Warp energy. The weapon's effect are described in audio logs as blowing up heads of selected Xenos (confirmed by testing on Orks, Eldar, Tyranids and even Tau).

Titus and friends fought their way to the Inquisitor's lab (both on their feet and in Valkyries), then through it, to the Psychic Scourge's firing station (blowing up all the Inquisition servoturrets in the process), where they jammed the Power Source in and turned it on. Unfortunately, the Psychic Scourge opened a bunch of Chaos portals instead of killing the Orks like advertised. Well, the Warboss got jumped by Bloodletters, but still... Sorcerer Lord Nemeroth showed up and blasted the Ultramarines with psyker power, all while declaring Drogan a long-dead puppet possessed by a handy daemon; but Titus resisted like a boss long enough for Grimskull to reappear and pull Nemeroth off the scene along with himself. Titus then fought his way past Bloodletters, Chaos Havoc Marines, and even more Orks to meet up with Mira's guardsmen.

After dueling with Warboss Grimskull (yes, a Sorcerer in Terminator Armour had not taken out the guy, because he was not finished with the Space Marine) and blowing up the big Ork's head with a plasma pistol (because the Marine was finished with him), Titus returned to the manufactorum to power up the Titan. After he put the Power Source inside the giant death machine, the Titan's cannon blew the fuck out of the Orbital Spire with the big Chaos portal on top, before Nemeroth could bring in his ships. Titus gave the Power Source to Sidonus, but then Nemeroth teleport-snuck up behind them and rapes Sidonus with lightning claws. This makes Titus rage harder than fa/tg/uys in a Matt Ward thread, but Nemeroth just grabs the Power Source and teleports away like the Chaos pussy he is.

Still brimming with rage, Titus jumped off the manufactorum, met up with some Blud Rehvens who were practicing their Steel Rehn, and blasted his way across a bridge with a ton of Chaos Marines on it. Then he grabbed the same Thunderhawk he had jumped off and chased Nemeroth to the Orbital Spire (which was still floating somehow). Nemeroth tried to use the Power Source to turn into a daemon prince, but Titus just bum-rushed the Chaos pansy off the Orbital Spire and beat him to death in freefall. Using the manly power of his hands, Titus crushed both the Sorcerer Lord's face and the Power Source, which exploded, and then he landed inside a flying Thunderhawk.

The next morning Titus is getting some much needed shut-eye as the Ultramarines, Blood Ravens, and Mira's guardsmen clean up the last tiny remnants of Nemeroth's invaders. Unfortunately, Titus wakes up to find Leandros has called the Inquisition on Titus. Wait... Didn't Leandros quote the Codex as Chaos allegiance causing Warp resistance, not the other way around? Logical fallacy! *faceplam* The Inquisitor clearly doesn't believe Leandros but has to arrest Titus anyway, so Titus tells Leandros that Guilliman's Codex is just guidelines and tactics, and that Leandros fails as a Space Marine because he's a blind spiritual-liege-worshiping faggot who can't think for himself. Then Titus climbs aboard the Inquisition ship and flies off to <s>get painfully investigated for Heresy</s> save another day for the Emprah.

Ironically, in one of the Horus Heresy novels, Roboute Guilliman admits that while the Codex is an excellent work of strategic and tactical brilliance, it does not qualify as a replacement for the soldier's ability to independently act in the field (read: brains). So Titus was in fact holding to the Codex as Guilliman intended and is far more true to it than Leandros, making Leandros a freakin' heretic. In other words, it's a scathing condemnation of He who must never be named as a whole.

Double Irony, the Codex states if a marine expects that one of his brother has fallen to chaos he should go to the companies' Chaplain and Librarian, as its their jobs. In other words, Leandros violated the Codex while claiming he's following it.

Relationships with characters
* Sidonus - Titus regarded Sidonus as his 'most trusted battle-brother' and closest friend. Sidonus in return shared this friendship with him. Unlike Leandros, who was quickly suspecting Titus of chaos corruption, Sidonus never suspected or even accused Titus of taint. When Sidonus got impaled with extreme prejudice by Nemeroth, Titus actually did a Big No! (Which is parodied here), and swore vengeance. Titus finally got revenge when he killed Nemeroth.
* Leandros - Titus is disappointed by Leandros' strict adherence to the Codex Astartes (the latter is typical for an Ultrasmurf), but nonetheless tolerates his behavior due to Titus seeing it as immaturity. Leandros originally saw Titus as an inspiration, but his violations to the Codex Astartes and his supposed Chaos taint caused Leandros to suspect his captain. When Leandros gives Titus to the Inquisition, Titus tells him that his devotion to the Codex means he has failed to truly become a Space Marine because he cannot see past the Codex' text to the battlefield it is applied to. We last see Leandros unable to look Titus in the eye like the pussy Codex-worshiper he is as the latter leaves with the Inquisitor.
* Second Lieutenant Miranda Nero - While there isn't any real action between her and Captain Titus and they spend the game focusing on their duties, there are very small hints that they do have some feelings for each other. Titus affectionately calls her Mira, instead of her formal name - that said, she always, always goes by Mira in the game. However, Mira urged Titus to try and resist the authority of the Inquisition when they accused him of Chaos taint, but Titus decided to surrender himself to them so that they wouldn't hurt Mira and his battle-brothers. Of course these hints are all vague and shouldn't be taken seriously (which cannot be said the same for Rule 34 fanboys). It's much more likely that it's mutual respect due to the fact that Titus is a Space Marine and Mira earned his respect by taking charge and holding out against the Orks for so long. Besides, it's not like Space Marines have much in the way of sex drive. (BUT what woman could resist falling for a hunk genetically engineered by the science of the EMPRAHH?)
* Inquisitor Drogan - Titus is the only Marine in the game who trusts Drogan, and actually shows concern about the Inquisitor's near-fatal wounds, thinking it would be a shame to lose such a powerful ally. Of course, Drogan is a corpse being puppeted by a daemon.
* Warboss Grimskull - Contrary to most Marines, Titus sees the Warboss as an enemy that must be put down, but not to the extend that he's all zealous about it - In fact, he never underestimates the danger that the rather cunning Warboss presents, but doesn't put the Warboss down before much, much later, because the Ork isn't a top priority. Sure, he messes up the Captains plans from time to time, but then again, the Marines' only job is to help liberate the planet (with a side quest for a certain Inquisitor coming popping up later), but going after the Warboss would consume so many ressources that it wouldn't be worth it. In fact, after the Chaos invasion was started, Grimskull takes a backseat, trying to hold together his WAAAGH!, but failing to do so, and making a last stand against the Captain, trying to take him down to get revenge... Unfortunately, he had run out of patience for the Warboss. The results are obvious.
* Nemeroth - A fucking huge Chaos Sorcerer of Chaos Undivided. Through a bit of Just as Planned and similar douchbaggery, the Sorcerer arrive on Graia to use an artefact on the planet to simultaneously get his army into Realspace and to become even more fuckhueg. While Titus regards Nemeroth with the same kind of professionalism as he did with Grimskull, Nemeroth has much interest in the Captain, bordering to some sort of obsession. He frequently addresses him as "brother", which can mean one of many things (Brother, as in "fellow Marine", or making the point that the Captain might be susceptible to the forces of Chaos). Nemeroth also takes note of Titus' ability to "resist his touch", claiming that the Captain is something special, as he is almost immune to Chaos in general. Even after Titus tells him to fuck off back to the Warp and stop his "brother"-bullshit, Nemeroth still addresses him as brother, and seems to know something about the Captain, which will bite him in the ass later... Just according to keikaku.

Reasons why Titus is such a Badass
* He's a fucking Space Marine. What did you expect?
** He's a fucking Space Marine Captain. Of the greatest chaBLAM
* He is one of very few, repeat, VERY few Ultramarines that <s>actually offs</s> gives the Codex Astartes proportionate importance. He states that the Codex is <s>just a set of rules and guidelines</s> a useful source of tactical and moral guidance, but should not be followed blindly, and how they choose to live by it is what makes them Space Marines.(The Codex isn't really a codex at all, it's more like...guidelines.)
** The irony is that Roboute Guilliman would love Titus and be pissed with the rest of the chapter.
** His interpretation of the Codex Astartes falls closer to that of the Raptors (Chapter), although the way that it is implemented relies on his own badassery.
* Unlike the majority of his chapter, Titus actually improvises when dealing with the enemy, be it Ork or Chaos, and is willing to employ somewhat unorthodox tactics to get the job done.
** Examples: His solution to his Thunderhawk being unable to land safely due to ork gun batteries is to simply use jump packs and descend down to the ork Kill Krooza, and then blowing said krooza's bridge with its own dorsal gun battery (this tactic is similar to that favored by the Angry Marines, but with less collateral damage); When the Orks were trying to use a Titan-sized laser weapon hanging from a crane to get into a Forge, and Titus' way to deal with this was, of course, to drop the thing on the Orks; When an Imperial Warlord Titan gets ready to go shoot the Chaos-controlled orbital spire, two Blight Drones and s Chaos psyker sorcerers try to shut it down before it's ready, and Titus' solution is to surf the fucking Titan and kill them, without cover no less.
*** In short, Titus gets shit done.
** Unlike Uriel Ventris, Titus does this only when it is necessary. As opposed to trying to make some sort of point about the Codex Astartes.
* As said above, he killed thousands of enemies by himself and also with only Sidonus and Leandros to aid him.
* His reaction to a one-on-one challenge by a Daemon Prince: body-tackle it off the edge of a kilometers-tall orbital spire and fight it while in free-fall, proceed to single-handedly beat the snot out of the partially daemonized Nemeroth.. and finally killing it by crushing the Daemon Prince's head with his bare hands while still in free-fall (unlike some cock-sure moron who got his body possessed by another Daemon Prince who's name is Severus, not the OTHER Severus.)
* He's voiced by MARK STRONG !!!!.
* He's nice to the Imperial Guard he meets, the even lowest ranking Guardsmen, which can't be said about most high-ranking Imperials. He's, in fact, nicer to Guardsmen them than some of their own commanders.
* He is surprisingly humble, attributing his successes to the Emperor's will, seeing himself as simply being an instrument of that will. This is a refreshing contrast to the stereotype of Ultramarines taking their label as the "Imperium's favored sons" for granted.
* He had the balls to stand up to the goddamn Inquisition, backed by four Black Templars. He willingly gives himself up to the Inquisition in order to save his friends and his chapter. Unlike Leandros, who betrayed his brother through his ignorant adherence to the Codex.
* He kinda looks like your dad.
* He and his few men were responsible in 5 minutes for more bad guy deaths than the entire Ultramarine chapter history.
* He gives zero to little fucks about standard protocol when there is a job to be done.
* He surfs a Warlord Titan
** No, really, he surfs on a motherfucking Warlord Titan. While blasting plague drones.
* Show me anything that solos groups of 10+ plus Bloodletters
** Eliphas the Inheritor.
** Kaldor Draigo.
* His entire speech at the end of the game to Leandros is basically telling Matt Ward that he has failed as a writer.
**Several fans consider Titus to be the best balance between Matt Ward's Lawful Stupid Spiritual Liege fan-wankery over the Codex Astartes and Graham McNeill's "the Codex Astartes is useless and cool Space Marines don't follow it" Chaotic Stupid Mary Sue special snowflake Uriel Ventris.
* As of the recent space marine update, he has his own miniature model head alongside Sidonus (via sternguard squad).

* The future games starring him would have had him escape, become a renegade Astartes, go on a Jack Bauer killing spree across the galaxy in the name of the Emprah, and finally returning to head his own chapter, presumably to beat some sense into Leandros and shame the Inquisition. Awesome.
** If he does become a Chapter Master, he will probably smack sense back into the rest of the Adeptus Astartes and, from there, the rest of the Imperium. Then mankind will steamroll the rest of the galaxy.
* Because the developers knew their audience, he's not a meaty slab of walking tank able to take any assault and come out unscathed, and on any difficulty above normal the game is genuinely challenging and requires more strategy than simply wading in and killing everything. This is awesome for two reasons. The first is that it does the enemies of the Imperium full justice instead of just making them easily destroyable blood-juice-boxes, e.g. a large enough group of Bloodletters is easily capable of overpowering you if you don't fight them in the right way. The second is that enemies that require you to think to take down are about ten times more satisfying to fight.

ANGRY MARINE?
Damn straight. Titus thinks the Codex is for pussies, uses authentic Angry Marine tactics such as fucking Orks to death with his chainsword, and even gets an Angry Purity Seal which gives him an Angryness Meter. The latter is canon. He is also fueled by violence and thus regenerates health by murdering Orks to death in particularly messy ways. His basic equivalent of a medkit? Punching Gretchin into bloody mist. His way of finishing off a Nob? Either jamming a chainsword through his mouth, or pinning its foot with an axe and tearing said mouth open with his bare hands. Not to mention he also has the lesser known Angry marine trait, namely a resistance to the warp.

Obviously at some point, maybe during a rare joint operation, some geneseed got mixed up and the Ultramarines got some Angry Marine geneseed, and the Angry marines got some Ultramarine. Equally obvious, when the angry geneseed was used by the Ultramarines most of there recruits blew up unable to contain THE SHEER FURY that is the angry marines, and when the angry marines used the Ultramarine geneseed they were like "WHAT THE FUCK IS UP WITH THIS WEAK ASS SHIT?" and their recruits equally failed as marines, but may have become serfs or something. Titus just lucked out in being able to take the angry geneseed, though you have to wonder what the Angry Marine version of Titus, an Angry Marine with Ultra traits, would be like.

I guess we know where the Inquisition is sending him.

SERVANT OF KHORNE?!
Actually he's probably just being corrupted by Khorne and doesn't know it. His resistance to the warp is similar to the psychic immunity Khorne gives to his followers (see Kharn, who really is a swell chap) and he rejuvenates himself by killing things in RIP AND TEAR fashion and by bathing himself in blood (although all this is also a hallmark of the most pure and incorruptible of the Imperiums defenders). Also, he runs on anger, like all Khornate Chaos Marines. And can tap into it to go into what is pretty much a Berserker's rage. Oh yeah, and he's fighting a douchebag Sorcerer of Tzeentchs. <s>Nemeroth isn't Tzeentch, he's one of those wishy-washy "unaligned" pussies.</s> Most Undivided Chaos sorcerers have heavy leanings towards Tzeentch anyway.
Or, he was just a hollow-guy.

Note: if he's corrupted this way, than what does that make the Black Templars?
PS: Remember, there's some that get immunity to the effects of the warp. Grey Knights are an example. He might just be a Blank who managed to avoid getting skullfucked by the Black Ships. You never see any Librarians willingly hanging around the guy, after all. Then again serving long enough to become a captain means he would have been around psykers long enough for them to have notice he was a blank. So we could just kept it to sheer willpower combine the fact he's emotionally stable means warp stuff wouldn't harm him as much.

It's possible he's a pariah, instead of a blank, since he's shown to be partially affected by the powers of the warp (like when the power source literally backfired in his face and just knocked him out cold when it should very easily have atomized him).

"A true man may flinch away its embrace, if he is stalwart, and he girds his soul with the armour of contempt.” - Gideon Ravenor

What would have happened in Space Marine 2 & 3
“I had some big plans for Titus,” van Lierop said. “The second part of his story was to focus on a ‘Titus Unleashed’ plot—basically there were forces arrayed against him that would see his loyalty to the Adeptus Astartes pushed to its limit, and his reaction would be to kind of ‘go rogue,’ and we'd see a different Titus, not quite as in control as we saw him in Space Marine. He would be kicked out as a consequence—exiled, which would basically be a death sentence for him.” (or a ticket to the Deathwatch as a Blackshield)

The first game showed us what it looked like when a Space Marine was fighting in a disciplined manner, and the second game would have opened the door for a slightly wilder version of the character. That’s not the end, though.

“He would survive, and come back even stronger in the third game, where other Space Marines still loyal to him would rally around him and he'd return to ‘clean house,’ but as the head of a brand new Chapter that we would build around him,” van Lierop continued.

So what kept this from happening?

“Sadly, THQ was already starting to fall apart by then and it became clear that Space Marine 2 wasn't going to happen. I was pretty heartbroken about that,” he said. “But that's the way the business works. In the end I'm glad things turned out the way they did, because I think if the end hadn't been so hard, I might not have sought out a better way. And Hinterland might not have ever happened.”

Subject of Canon
Just a quick reminder that the information claiming that it takes place in a parallel universe isn't canon it wasn't posted or mention any time during production and further more that the information mention in that post was made by a person unconnected to the space marine project.

Space Marine is a 3rd-person video game which is featured on the PC, the ECKSBAWKS 360, and the PS3. Its genre is a hybrid of shooting and hack and slash. It was released on September 6, 2011.

The Plot
The story is set on the Forgeworld of Graia. It's being invaded by Orks who wish to loot the shit out of it; weapons, ammunition, vehicles, you name it. Rather surprisingly, the Orks have an actual objective this time: to steal a Warlord-class Titan of the Morning Star Legion, an idea the Imperium isn't overly fond of. At first, the 203rd Cadian regiment was sent in to reinforce the forgeworld's defenses, but were eventually overwhelmed and pushed into a desperate defensive posture due to the Orks shooting down the majority of their support craft and simply outnumbering them by 100:1. Captain Titus and a small force of Ultramarines are then sent to hold back the invading Orks with the help of what's left of the Guard while the liberation fleet is on its way.

The Forces of Chaos also have a part to play, and are led by a Terminator sorcerer lord named Nemeroth. They're basically here to open a warp portal using an heretically radical device to both turn Graia into a daemon world and also so Nemeroth can become a Daemon Prince. And unlike previous games, this features actual traitor guardsmen, not the "we've recently converted to chaos and we're here as fodder" guardsmen featured in Dawn of War, fuck no, these are kickass Lost and the Damned guardsmen.

Not surprisingly, BLOD REHVENS play a role, set against Chaos as they were seen holding the initial incursion, though they only appear in brief cameo. If the game is set after DoWII then we will see Gabe's reforms in action, which is nice (if the Marine ending in Retribution takes place).

Gameplay
No cover system. As a man from Relic said: "cover is for pussies". Space Marines are too awesome to be cowering behind cover. As a Space Marine, you are given enhanced regenerative abilities and an Iron Halo shield (due to your status as Captain). There are also brutal kills which the player can do to make the enemy's deaths more humorous/gory (to regain health like a man and to show-off the awesomeness of the Angels of Death, of course). Since you are playing as a Space Marine (and better yet, a veteran of 200 years of battle) you could easily kill thousands of Orks with just a simple vertical slash.

The Forces of Chaos are mentioned as being a lot tougher. Traitor guardsmen are still as weak as ordinary Ork sluggas and shootas, but are quite tactical, being able to organize and <s>plan strategies</s> spam grenades like they're playing a Call of Duty: Modern Warfare game. Corrupted psykers can spawn enemies and easily kill you from afar. Khorne Bloodletters can teleport, making it hard for you to shoot them, deal massive amounts of damage and can withstand quite a bit themselves. Chaos Space Marines are far more deadly. They pack weapons that are functionally the same as yours are by far the most durable enemies, and they have regenerating shields like you do.

Further gameplay is revealed that Space Marine will feature a Fury system. The Fury system allows you to slow time when aiming a ranged weapon or to unleash a devastating melee attack (provided that you filled up the fury bar by killing enemies of course).

While Titus' starting equipment consists of a bolt pistol and combat knife, weapons can range from bolters to lascannons to plasma guns to thunder hammers. You also get to take jump packs which allows you to fly and make an assault jump, which allows you to create an AoE explosion by violently landing in a position of your choosing, though this does restrict your loadouts to only melee weapons and bolters.

Characters
* Captain Titus - A Captain of the Ultramarines Chapter and their last hope of finally getting some <s>badass</s> redemption of any kind. He is sent with his company of Ultramarines to prevent an Ork Waaagh!! from looting a forgeworld. It should be noted that his character was first seen as bald but was changed to have a shaved head in the early trailers. He was finally changed to a standard space marine HAIR-etic. He is voiced by Mark Strong. Yes...HE'S VOICED BY FUCKING MARK MOTHERFUCKING STRONG! Considering known hair-etic Force Commander Hair Gel's escapades didn't end well, one wonders if Titus will either be killed or corrupted by the forces of Chaos. He looks kinda like Proteus from Ultramarines the Movie, excluding the longer hair and the better looking armor decor. Anyway, he is shown to be looked upon with suspicion by some of his fellow Ultramarines. This is due to them suspecting him of Chaos corruption after being the only surviving battle-brother after an attack from a Chaos Sorcerer (which he eventually killed). Deep strike is his favorite entry tactic as shown by his affinity of jumping out of vehicles. <strike>BTW I'm a wizard.</strike> Unsanctioned psyker?! HERESY!
**At the end of the game, it's shown to the player that his resistance to Chaos is because he's just that badass-any daemon who thinks about it spontaneously combusts into holy flame, we suspect. Unfortunately, Leandros doesn't know that (the faithless cur), and since Titus is the only smurf <s>with something vaguely resembling a clue</s> who's realized that honor has a time and place, he gets roped in by the Inquisition on suspicion of HERESY! Thankfully, Thrax doesn't take his gun, implying that he isn't buying it...but that still means a certain newbie smurf is going to have a very long discussion on the merits of trust with a power fist, right after the <s>anal probing</s> tests of faith are done (Though in Leandros's defense, Titus really is kind of an idiot. In the beginning of the game Titus jumps out of a thunderhawk with nothing but a knife and a bolt pistol, instead of taking, oh I don't know, useful weapons and a command squad? If Leandros is Lawful Stupid then Titus is an admittedly awesome breed of Chaotic Stupid).

* Veteran Sergeant Sidonus - A slightly grumpy smurf, Sidonus is a veteran of the Ultramarines and designated comedian of the squad, delivering dry humor to the heart of the enemy when necessary (or when not so necessary). He is said to have battled Tyranids, Orks, Eldar, Chaos space Marines and Necrons during his centuries of battle. Quite badass, <s>for an</s> like all old Adeptus Astartes. He also has a bionic arm after getting his real one nom'd by Tyranids (Wait, I think I've already heard something like this...). Also lost his eye and half of his face when an Eldar weapon blew up in his face (... and something like this too...). Decided not to get reconstructive surgery done, opting instead to leave the scars because it looks badass.

* Brother Leandros - A newly recruited Ultramarine clinging to his shortened copy of the Codex Astartes and behaves as a typical Wardian-era smurf. He is the youngest of the squad, being only 75 years old (which is considered young by Space Marine standards) yet he has one of the highest honors that a chapter can bestow (<s>that, ironically enough, seems to be missing from Sidonus' power armor mantle</s> as a veteran sergeant, it is assumed that he is trained in the use of terminator armour, like all 1st company veterans), Terminator honors.

* Second Lieutenant Miranda Nero - Being the only loyalist commissioned officer left, Mira leads what remains of the 203rd Cadian that was reassigned to Graia. Turns out they went too far out into the green sea and got cut off from supplies and support. Now that her Cadian descent has been revealed, fanboys demands for rule 34 will intensify. She seems to share Merrick's view of placing the lives of her men above the Imperium. HERESY!!! The fact that she's a woman commanding the Guardsmen surprises even Sidonus. (actually, I think he was just surprised that a Lieutenant was commanding the entire Imperial Guard operation- she responds by stating that all her higher-ups are dead and she's the only one left)

* Inquisitor Jean-Baptiste Emanuel <s>Zorg</s> <s>Skrillex</s> Drogan - The Inquisitor. He looks like he hasn't slept in a week (which is understandable, given that he's fighting both an Ork WAAAGH and Chaos Space Marines), and his hair is really dirty and emo looking. He also has a metal plate attached to the right side of his head. Must be a radical. He's also EXTREMELY obsessed with killing xenos due to him being previously tortured by xenos (<s>possibly Dark Eldar</s>) Yeah, because we know that anyone can escape from Commoragh) for several years. During his time on Graia, his EXTREME obsession made him create mysterious experimental weapons in hopes of getting revenge, and one of these experiments included a portal that led to EXTREME consequences. This is due to the fact that the forces of chaos used said portal to enter the forge world, EXTREMEly. His eyes also lit up during a cutscene. MUST BE A HERETIC. BIG TWEEST. HE'S A PUPPET FOR THE LORD SORCERER.......... Okay it isn't that simple. Turns our he had a "subject" delivered to his laboratory to test his shiny new weapon on, the "subject", turned out to be a daemon which escaped, and proceeded to buttrape poor Drogan (all the backstory is in the audio logs). Since this daemon read the fluff, he's decided that maybe the EXTREME factions have a bit more pull, so he pretends to be EXTREME.

* Lord Nemeroth - A Chaos Terminator Sorcerer Lord and the Big Bad of the game. He is possibly the Sorcerer Titus "killed" previously. It should be noted that the only daemons present in his Warband are Khorne Bloodletters (Well, he's also got some Plague Drones. But everyone has those). This and his statement that "His Armies will spill humanities blood, across the stars". This may lead to theories that he is yet another <s>Khorne worshipping sorcerer</s> WRONG, he's got a symbol of chaos undivided on his face. He also proves Relics infinite creativity at naming characters, for the difference between him and Eliphas' nagging wife is but two wretched letters. Also found a way around the of the Squishy Wizard law, because he wears TERMINATOR ARMOR. He is defeated by virtue of forgetting to wear a helmet. Shame too, because he was just at the doorstep of becoming a Daemon Prince.

* Warboss Grimskull - He is the Ork Warboss leading his Ork WAAAGH!!! on Graia with the intention of stealing the planet's Titans. Later on, he becomes interested in the power source Titus and Inquisitor Drogan possess. Has some nice lines too.

Things that rock
* Seemingly a better game than that Warhammer 40,000: Fire Warrior where you play as a Space Communist on his first day of duty, who is apparently a one man (well, xenos) army that could single-handedly kill genetically modified super soldiers, <s>a daemon prince</s> TWO Daemon Princes and a greater daemon of Tzeentch. lolwut?
* You get to play as a Space Marine.
* Bolters that work as they should i.e. a big badass cannon of a gun that can rip an Ork's arms off with exploding rocket-propelled rounds. <s>THEY SHOOT LIKE MACHINE GUNS THOUGH JUST LIKE EVERY OTHER GENERIC SCIFI GAME</s> <s>Exploding 6 Orks in 4 seconds is well worth such a minor fluff change, and 480 rounds a minute Bolters are a lot slower than an average assault rifle.</s> Bolters are Rapid Fire weapons in the TT game, THQ was 100% correct.
* Guardsmen who fight alongside you have balls of steel, they rarely fall back. (Which makes crunch sense: with a Space Marine Captain alongside them, they too SHALL KNOW NO FEAR!)
* Orks
* Captain Titus isn't a total Mary Sue like the rest of this Chapter, even going so far to say that the Codex Astartes is just a guidebook and not meant to be taken literally. Thus: FUCK YOU MATT WARD.
* Hilarious amounts of blood, dismemberment, and all other forms of gore you could imagine. Khorne would probably favor this game, even if you do play an Ultramarine.
* Executions (like the sync kills in DoW, which you can do to a stunned enemy) are actually required for you to restore your health, rather than going around and picking up medpacks, ducking in a corner and letting your wounds heal like magic, or some other unmanly method. Ensuring that playing longer requires you to give those guys screaming at you a good ol' fashion Chainsword enema, which is awesome.
* <s>No casual difficulty setting.</s> Nope, it's in there.
* Chaos Space Marines.
* BLOODLETTERS!!!
* You pick up an Autocannon in <s>one</s> TWO levels.

* Mark Strong (who you may remember from his previous roles starring in Rocknrolla, Kickass, Robin Hood, Stardust and Sherlock Holmes) as the voice of Captain Titus.
* <s>JUMP PACKS.</s> Out of fuel. (They be awesome while they last though)
* Pre-Order skins for Black Templars, Blood Ravens, Space Wolves, <s>Iron Hands</s> Iron Warriors and Emperor's Children.
* Apparently, even the games demo would destroy a PC's motherboard due to its extreme epicness. Watch here for proof
* Co-op comes in the form a 4-player Horde mode.
* Standard multiplayer is Chaos vs. Spess Mehrens. Fuck yes.
* You get to paint your own multiplayer character, much like the army painter system in DoWII. You also get to pick your own loadout.
*Cock of Duty-like perks. Yes, multiplayer perks. However some of them are cool and are named after rules from the TT game, Most make sense, others are FUCKING STUPID (see bottom of next list). One real nice thing about the perks is that you can use them along with your tailored loadout in EXTERMINATUS.
*Livery changes for the single player are widely available for free. If you still hate the smurfs, you can easily change that by playing something like the Black Templars or Angry Marines. <s>are unlocked at level 5 and only affect multiplayer. Enjoy your smurfs.</s> <b> ACTUALLY:</b> whilst it is true that customization options are only available from level 4 onwards, there are unofficial modifications available for livery changes for a great number of chapters in single player. (see: http://forums.relicnews.com/showthread.php?262044-Space-Marine-Custom-Titus-Skins-Armour-of-Angelos)
*After release fans wouldn't stop bitching (read flooding the official forums) asking for a mute all button in the multiplayer lobby. A couple weeks later an update included the mute all button, in short <b>THEY GET SHIT DONE</b>
*New DLC just added Dreadnoughts (AKA ungodly walking rape machine).

Things that Suck
* Explosions look like total ASS. While the texture work on the game is extremely detailed, they apparently skimped on their pyrotechnic effects. Some of the smoke and explosion effects look like they came off a PS1 game. This is painfully jarring in the opening aerial battle between the navy and the Orks.
* Ultrasmurfs. (Bear in mind though, you would probably bitch about it if they mentioned any other chapter as "the greatest of them all". Observe). However, it could be argued that part of the joy of the badassery of Captain Titus is that he manages it despite being an Ultrasmurf.
* While "Cover is for Pussies" is a manly mechanic, being able to fire from cover while being pinned by tons of Ork Shootas and Chaos Havocs in unreachable positions wouldn't be so bad.
** Don't forget the waves of renegade guardsmen who posses an inexhaustible supply of grenades that they lob at you without hesitation. This alone makes it nearly impossible to complete the later chapters without abusing cover and Lascannon camping.
*No awesome executions in multiplayer. Multiplayer executions were dropped because it would leave you vulnerable while performing it and some people would get upset at seeing their marine having their organs torn out. This leaves one wondering why it wouldn't be left in as an optional humiliation move.
**More baffling is that it is being left out of the upcoming co-op as well for the exact same reasons, despite it being in singleplayer, meaning you can only regain health by hiding in cover while your health regenerates. "Cover is for the weak" indeed.
***Further undermined by the fact that not taking cover against Tankbustaz will get you killed in a ludicrously quick-and-dirty way, as will charging into a pack of Traitor Guardsmen whilst they burn you alive in your artificer armor with volleys of flashlight fire.
* Explaining things to the newbs.
* They wanted to cast Sean Pertwee (Who played Governor Severus in Fire Warrior) as one of the characters, but they already had enough VA's. Not having Sean Pertwee in a Warhammer game, or film, is just plain wrong (though they do express desire to cast him in a possible sequel). UNFORTUNATELY! <s>THQ said that there won't be a sequel. FFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU!!!!!</s> <s>There might be a sequel, apparently, but only if THQ doesn't collapse in on itself like a super-massive star due to all its debt.</s> THQ just went belly-up. The sequel's destiny is now in the hands of Sega....Emperor preserve us all.
* Another 40k game about some Space Marine snowflake. See Ultrasmurfs. But on the bright side, only Leandros acts like the generic Mary sue Ultramarine, Titus and Sidonus are, more-or-less likable, even by those with a slight distaste for the Ultramarines.
* Not enough choppy. For a game that relies a lot on melee combat, not a lot of actual melee weapons to go around, only a knife (Which you can only use at the beginning of the game), chainsword, power axe, and thunder hammer and additionally, sync-kills are fairly limited for each one and starts to get "meh" after a few playthroughs. Given 40K's extensive armory of choppy choppas, you would think Relic could include more things like more power swords, fists and claws, eviscerator chainswords (And a large two-handed, flamer-toting chainsword would have been emprah-like to have), or just more sync-kills for said 4 weapons so players would have more variety in the amount of gore present.
* Apparently, melta guns are shotguns now and the Lascannon is some kind of retarded sniper rifle with slow-mo.
**<s>Sounds somehow familiar, no?</s> The Meltas are only shotguns as far as digital crunch is concerned; they're still burning death rays fluff-wise, disintegrating tons of orks and even daemons in one shot. As for the Lascannons, they aren't any more or less of a sniper weapon here than they are on the tabletop (basically an anti-materiel rifle, except on super grimdark space steroids). Neither of them do a lot against Dreads, which is bullshit
*Games consist of melta, plasma cannon, stormbolter, or vengeance launcher spam, the few players who disdain cheap tactics (oddly the ps3 space wolves champion this view) lose on principle unless they're banned in a tournament or are a cheating fuck named jwolf96 who bolt pistols you with a headshot WHILE JUMPING AROUND AS ASSAULT.EVERY TIME.hax.
*No Flamers.
*Gears of War fanboys constantly saying that the game is a copy of Gears of War, even though it's a hack and slash shooter hybrid that does not feature a cover system (GOW is like a ducking simulator). They're also too magnificently retarded to realize that Warhammer 40,000 came Waaaaaaaaayyyyy before Gears of War. Not to mention the Space Marines of 40k inspired the giant space marine with the huge weapons.
*FUCKING audio stutter during times where you're battling hordes of enemies (which, in a hack-and-slash game, happens all the time). It's revealed that this is not hardware related as even those with high-powered machines and updated drivers also suffer from this. Relic might provide a fix for this but some are shifty about this, fearing that they might pull off the old Dawn of War ignorance on this game too. If you want a slightly acceptable temporary fix for this that doesn't require you playing this game in silence, infinitely loop a battle theme of your choosing on your music player such as Requiem for a Tower while playing, set your volume to a level of your choosing, and gleefully continue hacking your opponents to shreds and curb-stomping them to paste. If you need the voices for tactical input, just enable subtitles.
*Shitty voice acting (Speak for yourself, Nemeroth's voice damn near made me blow a load)(Don't even get us started on Titus)
*Shitty fucking lag that has remained unfixed over a month after its released, ergo consigning the game to the dustbin as new Vidya Gaems that are frankly better than it are released.
*<s>Only five maps, all of which encourage outright camping and grenade spam.</s> They're releasing more maps every few months.
*Matchmaking sucks a bag of dicks the size of a Great Unclean One.
*<s>Devastator Marines are vastly more powerful than all other Marines, and it's possible to circumvent the Heavy Bolter's setup time by switching to/from your pistol. The switch-setup was fixed in a patch, but Devastators are still infinitely superior to anything any other Marine class can do damage-wise Assault/Raptor with thunder hammer/daemon maul with Killing Blow. Nuff said.</s> Plus the inability to dodge effectively, (Learn to combat roll, dumbass. Saves my bacon all the time.) slow recharge times on armor and health, and the fact that one shot from a tactical marine's plasma gun will melt your shit instantly balances it out. N00bs need to STFU and get some skill and stop whining. Also, unlike Raptors/Assault Marines, Devastators can't FLY.
*There were originally going to be Combi-Weapons in the game, but it was scrapped.
*Environments need more variety. A lot more variety. The game really doesn't start shaking shit up until about halfway through. Till then, everything is cityscape type level killing a bunch of Orks.
*On the console versions, accusations of Standbying (abusing host lag) are rampant.
*<s>Makes no fucking sense from a chronological perspective - Graia was OMNOMNOM'd by the Tyranids (caught in the path of the initial Hive Fleet that approached Macragge) long before the events of Dawn of War and Dawn of War 2 - meaning that Titus' victory was ultimately a pyrrhic one, unless there's another Graia out there in the Imperium of Man. It's an alternate timeline, and it takes place on a different Graia (this particular Graia is located in the Segmentum Tempestus, not Ultima Segmentum). You can tell because Titus is the Captain of the Ultramarine's Second Company instead of Sicarius and Titan Invictus wasn't destroyed in the 13th Black Crusade (which was way before Dawn of War).</s>
It takes place some time into M42, and it's a different Graia. Evidence: In Ultramarines: The Movie, Captain Severus was 2nd Company Captain, and the film took place after the battle for Macragge given their WE MARCH FOR MACRAGGE creed. Sicarius is either dead or been promoted by now. With Severus dead by the hands of the Daemon, Titus becomes his successor. Further proof comes from the Blood Ravens appearance. Hive Fleet Leviathan, a splinter of which was defeated by the Magpies in DOW2, showed up in the final years of M41. Given that Retribution takes place 11 years after that, and Titus mentions the Aurelian Crusades, Relic has left the 41st Millennium behind. In four games, Relic has pushed further with the 40K timeline than Games Workshop has in twenty years.
* Not enough Ham. From the company that brought such gems as "BEAR WITNESS TO MY ASCENSION!!!!" and "BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD GOD! SKULLS FOR THE SKULL THRONE! LET THE GALAXY BURN!", it's a bit of a letdown when <s>even the Orks sound bored</s> you call "GIT OFF MAH SHIP, SPACE MUHREEN!!" bored? Calm Space Marines are boring Space Marines. Shout your litanies to the Emperor, dammit!
* Multiplayer perks. COCK OF DUTY MODERN SHITFUCK ANNOYING FUCKING 'MARTYRDOM' RIPOFF. Yes. Your armor's power-pack/jump-pack EXPLODES with a ludicrous kill zone. FUCKING ANNOYING.
** this game is Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 with <s>bigger guys</s> for you
* Multiplayer: MIGRATING TO NEW HOST. MIGRATING TO NEW HOST. MIGRATING TO NEW HOST. MIGRATING TO NEW HOST. NOW I LAG LOLOLOLOLOL. But this comes as a result of no dedicated servers due to a small playerbase. (One player goes as far as to call Host Migrations "Warp Storms" over voice chat, due to the seeming level of warp-dickery behind their timing.)
* Dreadnoughts are unstoppable rape machines that will steamroll the entire enemy team by themselves unless it is made up entirely of devastator marines (RELIC SUCKS AT BALANCE!)
* Final boss fight with Nemeroth is disappointing. Instead of having a proper fight like against Grimskull, it's just a quick-time event. While being sort of epic the first time you play it (You are falling down a space elevator, after all) it get's repetitive and boring in following play-throughs.
** And to get to the irritating button mash you have to drudge through a long and annoying fight with his OP minions.
*Good luck finding a game that's on any of the DLC stuff, or outside of the original five maps, You won't find any matches that aren't Seize Ground or Annihilation. We seriously need a new Space Marine game.

Downloadable Content
The game is constantly being supported and so much new content has been added over the past few months, it's astonishing. New content includes new modes such as capture the flag mode, capture and control, and dreadnought assault. New maps have been released, and previous pre-order only skins are now available to buy (including new ones such as the Legion of the Damned skin-YEAH!) Below is a list of all the dlc you can buy now (some of which is free by the way.)

*<b>Exterminatus</b>: This is a free update that added co-op to the game. A much needed add-on. Let's you play as Loyalist Marines in a team of four vs hordes of orks. Fun and crazy, (SPOILER!) final round is a bonus round against Chaos (end of spoiler.) Can use all your multiplayer loadouts and gain experience as well.

*<b>Chaos Unleashed</b>: You can now play as Chaos Space Marines in the Exterminatus game mode. Gameplay wise it isn't different from the Loyalist version, but new enemies along with the ol' ORKS are present. These new enemies are the Imperial Guard and the orks get a new unit (read ork entry below.) Oh yeah and we can now KILLZ US SOME SPACE MARINES! ULTRAMARINES TO BOOT!

**IG units include: regular shock troops with lasguns, veterans with chainswords (yes you read that right), sanctioned Imperial psykers who can also tackle stun you, troops with melta guns and troops with grenade launchers.
**Apart from the IG forces the Orks have their old units returning with the addition of KILLA KANZ coming in during the bonus round! The start of the bonus round and how fucking tough it is.
**Yes, space marines are part of the enemy now, and they are tough as hell to kill. If anyone made it to the bonus chaos round for the loyalists, they will know. They have the same armor and health as the CSM of that bonus round, but come standard in every arena (during the later half usually.) You need to work together as a team to take them down, if not you'll get overwhelmed pretty easily. They have the tactical marines, assault marines without jump packs (Thank the Dark Gods) and devastators with plasma cannons (That can fuck your shit in case you allow them to fire a volley)
**Three new maps including Habs Ablaze, Station Tertius and Aquila Canyon. This dlc also includes new achievements and trophies.

*<b>Capture the flag (free update)</b>: Regular run of the mill capture the capture the flag mode. Unfortunately, devolves into everyone camping their sides to defend their flags and going long range. <b>IF</b> you've got balls of steel. then charge the other side to scare the hell out of them. Preferably use the Assault Marine with a hammer and "Death from above" upgrade.

*<b>Capture and control</b>: <s>Currently playing. Will update soon.</s> Sadly, due to bad matchmaking and division of map rotations, I cannot find a game to play of this mode. Will try to update soon. If anyone else has, you obviously have the right to update it on your own.

*<b>Dreadnought Assault</b>: Probably the most controversial of the game modes. This player has already played it and highly recommends it. But the playerbase is apparently divided. Basically, you have to capture the Dreadnought capture point and as soon as it is captured, a teammate that is inside the point will be chosen to pilot the <s>suit</s> rape machine (at random? no idea. Needs confirmation.) You have to use the dreadnought to <s>capture the other points</s> assrape the other team. It is an ungodly powerful machine with a lot of health and you gain the auto/assaultcannon, powerfist/claw (both former weapons for loyalists and latter for Chaos, the auto-cannon and assault cannon are the weapons that differ from their counterpart on the other side, with the auto having lower RoF but higher damage per shot, and the assault having higher RoF but less damage per shot, but both fire rapidly enough to be used the same way), and meltagun. Obviously becomes a fire magnet and players will mostly use <s>devastators</s> Thunderhammers/Power Mauls on it. (contrary to tabletop, DEVASTATORS/HAVOCS CAN'T SCRATCH THE DAMN DREADNOUGHT) Comes with appropriate skins for Chaos and Loyalist marines.

**Includes three new maps as well; Desolation, Dome Mechanicus and Chem Refinery. New achievements/trophies also included.
**Has apparently vanished into the ether on the Xbox marketplace and is no longer available (on that system at least). Perhaps the playerbase bitched too much?

*As said before, pre-order skins are now available, including some new ones. Just to get you drooling, Iron Hands and Death Guard armor. OH YEAH!

*<b>Subsection F, article U:</b>

<b>+[ How to destroy the Dreadnought ]+</b>

As tested by two players, one yours truly, there is a limited number of options when it comes to dealing with an enemy Dreadnought.

#Lascannons do minimal damage. Headshots can do some decent damage - but it's finicky due to lag and a weird head hitbox (especially since the extra-damage weak point on the Dreadnought is the engine at the back, not the head, oops).
#Stalker Bolter is more reliable, but nowhere near as good against the Dread. Works well on its escorts, though.
#Heavy Bolter can damage it but it takes a lot of shots, and the Dread *will* return fire at the first opportunity and fuck your ass. Fire and move.
#Meltaguns do nothing. Avoid. (They take off exactly 10% of the Dreadnought's health from pointblank range, make of this what you will).
#Grenades only annoy it, but Flash Grenades can blind it for a second.
#Devastator stomp does nothing (and if you were trying to do this in the first place, gb2Tau).
#Plasma Guns and Pistols do absolutely nothing unless charged, and are questionably useful if charged. The "Sticky" charged shot though is great for drawing a Dread's attention, and can do a bit of damage to help out or soften it up prior to an attack.
#A Dread's close combat arm will put your head through your ass and send you flying in one hit.
#The Dreadnought has its own Iron Halo shield, but only for one charge that lasts for about 30 seconds. When activated, the Dreadnought strikes a distinctive pose while its arm glows. Firing at it now is a waste of ammo and your life.

Your destructive answer in this case is PLASMA, followed by VENGEANCE LAUNCHER. Plasma cannons are the only heavy weapon that will reliably do anything of relevance to the Dreadnought, and it takes around 10 shots. The only option other than Plasma Cannons are the Vengeance Launcher and the Thunderhammer/Power Maul. The former will do in a Dread in about 12 shots; the latter, if you have the Killing Blow perk, will make quick work of the Dreadnought.

Devastators:
#USE PLASMA CANNONS AT RANGE. Fire a barrage and fuck off. Watch for return fire, the Assault Cannon/Reaper Autocannon have a hellish rate of fire and will tear you to shreds.
#ALTERNATELY, USE HEAVY BOLTER AND CAMP TACTICAL LOCATIONS. Heavy Bolter can rack up insane damage very, very quickly and can easily wipe a squad of Escorts if you set up correctly. Surprisingly, the Heavy Bolter can also do a lot of damage to the Dread if it doesn't get a chance to return fire (I.E. it has its attention held by Plasma Cannoneers and the like).
#LASCANNON ONLY IF YOU'RE THE HOST. Lag makes Lascannon headshots completely unreliable unless you're the host, and turns the potential the Lascannon has against both the Dread and its escorts to functionally nil. If you are the host, feel free to use the Lascannon, as it can damage the Dreadnought (not as much as the Plasma Cannon though) and easily wipe the Escorts out. Generally though, you will want one of the other Heavy weapons (again, mostly Plasma Cannons).

Assaults:
#DRAW SOME ATTENTION WITH THE PLASMA PISTOL. The Plasma Pistol's virtually worthless damage-wise against the Dread, but a charged shot will stick to it, fuck up its vision for a half-second or so, and rattle around its aim a bit. Consider a Plas Pistol charged shot when you need to get the Dread's attention and keep it from a safer distance.
#SWORDS AND CHAINSWORDS, LEAD THE WAY. Combine a Sword (Chain or Power) with Swordsman's Zeal and Combat Drugs. You'll generally not do any appreciable damage to the Dreadnought, but that isn't the point: You can use this combo to land next to a Dread, get in a swipe or two on either it or its escorts, and fuck off, potentially drawing fire and attention away from much more important matters (like the Devastators your team has lining up shots). Note, however, that if you delay or the enemy team is smart, you will wind up a bloody smear on the floor. If not on active Dread attention-getting duty, help cap points and deal with the escorts.
#AXES ARE RISKY BUSINESS. Axeman's Zeal offers bigger damage chunks and the same delicious healing, and works the same way as the Sword/Chainsword tactic above, but it leaves you open more. Bear this in mind. If you're not that good with the Axe, leave it at home.
#THUNDER HAMMER/DAEMON MAUL - THE KILLING BLOW. Killing Blow helps. A fucking lot. Without this perk, you can still wreck up the Dreadnought, but not by yourself. Two or more Assaults with hammers and the Dreadnought is proppa fucked.
#SUICIDE IS PAINLESS. It's a dick move, but loading up with Final Vengeance Assaults can do some good damage to the Dreadnought if absolutely every other fucking tactic fails. Fly in, spam grenades, Swing Sword/Axe/Hammer until killed, die on purpose, explode.

Tacticals:
#PLASMA GUN IS AN OKAY CHOICE I GUESS. Similar to the Plasma Pistol, you aren't taking the Plasma Gun for the damage, even though it is a little higher than the Plasma Pistol's and it can damage the Dread better. The main advantage is punching the fucking escorts with it, or sticking charged shots to the Dread itself to draw attention, damage it a little, and throw off its aim. Fire off a shot, then get the fuck out of dodge.
#HELP CAP FUCKING POINTS. Damned things won't handle themselves, and you need 'em to win.
#MOST OF YOUR WEAPONRY WON'T HURT THE DREADNOUGHT. The Tactical has one weapon that can contribute to a fight with the Dreadnought, and it's also the one weapon almost fucking nobody uses: The Vengeance Launcher. It takes about 12-14 shots given ideal aim, but the Vengeance Launcher can kill the Dreadnought. Working in teams, this can actually be just as effective as Plasma Cannon spamming - do note that it holds much less ammo, though, and is much harder to use.
#HELP YOUR TEAMMATES. Teleport Homer may be the most unsung hero of Dreadnought fights. One Tactical in a good spot can effectively act as a mobile spawnpoint for his buddies. Ideal for Devastator teams which need a quick way into the fight that isn't a Metal Box.
#YOU STILL HAVE GRENADES. Grenades can still do damage and still blind the Dreadnought, so for fuck's sake, use them.
#STALKER BOLTER THE FUCKING ESCORTS. Stalker Bolter will cut the escorts to shreds if you're a good shot, and can reliably damage the Dreadnought a tiny bit if there's no other targets of opportunity handy (generally you want to avoid pissing it off as a Tactical, though). Stalker the escorts though, to ensure your teammates can deal with the Dread easier without worrying about its squad of tagalongs.

An important note about the DLC. While a lot of the new stuff is fun and cool, the lists are divided by map rotations. Meaning when you choose a specific game mode, you choose the content you want to play in. Normally this isn't so bad, but what ends up happening is that you wait and wait for games to appear for the selected content. If you don't join a game for that dlc during that waiting time, you are pushed into a standard content game. So you want to join a Chaos Unleashed map, but there's no one around, so you join (read: forced into) a regular match. Oh no, the second you join said match, other people joined the CU list and you just left. Hopefully something will done about that.

[ How to spam Chaos Unleashed Exterminatus ]
This DLC added IG and SPESS MAHREENS to your Ork hordes, while allowing you to be HERETICS. Sounds awful, right? WRONG. This mode is actually easy to spam to the bonus wave.
STEP 1: if you manage to get a full four players, divide yourselves among Raptors and Tacticals. (With a minimum of one raptor, but preferably two or three)
STEP 1.5: If you're a raptor, have the perks for damage when you lift off and land on with your jump pack, and a daemon maul or chain axe if you don't like the low swing speed of the maul. (not required but it helps.)
If you're a/the tactical marine, have the teleport homer and perk that allows an extra weapon. Have a bolter, melta gun, and plasma gun. (Again, not required but it helps)
STEP 2: When you enter the map, have one raptor jump to the Orks, and the other jump to the IG forces, while the tactical marines camp in a corner of the map of their choice.
STEP 3: Have the raptors bait the two forces together, kill a few if you're feeling ballsy, and jump away back to the tacticals. The Orks and IG should start beating the fuck out of each other while only a few stragglers chase your gang. Kill the ones that follow you (it will still be a pretty steady stream, but the majority of their forces will be Shooting/chopping each other. )
STEP 4: The IG WILL win once teh SPESS MAHREENS show up. But usually they'll only have a small squads worth of either. You now have two options.
1: have the raptors charge to draw fire, toss grenades, do some damage and leave, while the tacticals charge and blow them up with their meltas, should ammo run out, use fully charged plasma shots. then have them run. repeat until all forces are destroyed.
OR
2: All of you run in from different directions, If you've beaten the main game 1 marine and a guardsmen or two isn't difficult, hopefully (sometimes the AI will still charge one guy, ignoring targets that are closer) they will be split up enough for each player to take out his group and help the others who haven't.
These work all the way up to the bonus round, which is just killa kans.
NOTE: These require some pretty good amounts or coordination between your squad members, and due to the AI's nature have a chance of entering an "allies of desperation" pseudo alliance and zerg-rushing your squad while only minimally chopping each other, this is rare however and the above strategies work 9 times out of ten.
ONE PLAYER METHOD.
STEP 1: Be a raptor with the above described perks and equipment (Much more essential this time.)
Step 2: Basically the same as the other step 2, except you're only choosing one side (usually the orks, they'll chase you longer) and leading them to the other
Step 3: 9 out of ten on the maps have tiny rock outcroppings or similar that you can jump up to and are inaccessible to everything else. jump to one of these, If you don't know where one is, just go to the side of the map.
Step 4: When the IG win you need to do some scouting, usually the AI marines don't clump together, so find an isolated one and take him out. If they are clumped together, throw all of your grenades at them, jump in, kill one (or two if you're feeling ballsy) and jump away, there are usually one or two full refills for your grenades around the level. repeat as necessary until only Guardsmen remain, you should know how to kill a few guardsmen.
NOTE: This falls prey to the Allies of desperation flaw of the other one, if this happens you're fucked.
