''Buommans'' are a subrace of humans who have spent too much time on the Astral plane, resulting in their limbs and faces getting very long and thin. Their most notable trait is that they do not speak; any Buomman character who does speak takes Wisdom damage and other miscellaneous penalties for 24 hours. They appeared in the [[Planar Handbook]].

:* Base land speed is 30 feet.
:* Low-Light Vision
:* +2 racial bonus on Listen and Perform (sing) checks
:* A buomman who speaks takes 1 point of Wisdom damage and takes a –2 penalty on attack rolls, saves, and checks for 24 hours afterward. If the buomman speaks again before 24 hours have passed, he takes an additional point of Wisdom damage, and his penalty on attack rolls, saves, and checks persists for another 24 hours. A buomman spellcaster who wishes to cast spells with a verbal component must use the Silent Spell metamagic feat or have the Nonverbal Spell feat
