'''Cyrene''' was a planet within Subsector Aurelia that was a recruiting world for the [[Blood Ravens]] chapter of the [[Space Marines]], most notably Captain [[Gabriel Angelos]] and [[Librarian]] [[Isador Akios]]. However, some sort of [[heresy]] took root within the planet, one that had gone so deep that Gabriel was left with no choice but to turn to the [[Inquisition]] and [[Mordecai Toth]] to render [[Exterminatus]] upon the world, striking it from all records.

Gabriel did not take the situation well, having dwelled upon the issue for quite a long time and getting visibly riled when it is mentioned. While not as visibly affected, it did have some effect on Isador as well, perhaps even leading to his eventual downfall.

While it had never recovered from the said blamming to any reasonable degree, eventually there were people who returned to it, particularly [[Chapter Master]]/Chief Librarian/Traitor Supreme [[Azariah Kyras]], exploiting everyone's negligence in examining a dead world to perform some dread rights in order to ascend to [[Daemon Prince]]hood. What he didn't expect was for someone following his forces and smashing through his own forces and destroying his offering shrines before wrecking his shit and blowing up his head with Orbital Strikes/Eldar Psykery/copious amounts of Roks/a giant feeding tendril/other heretical rituals.
