Editing Dragon Gods

The '''Dragon Gods''' are a racial pantheon of [[God]]s in [[Dungeons & Dragons]] who, as their name suggests, focus their attention squarely on looking after [[dragon]]s. This has caused them to be fairly minor figures; in comparison to the [[Morndinsamman]] or the [[Seldarine]], the draconic faiths rarely come up during the game, since dragons generally aren't very religious (that would require accepting that something is more powerful than them). As a result, only the gods [[Bahamut]] and [[Tiamat]] have gained any real traction, since they have expanded their portfolio and interests beyond simply appealing to dragons. Though [[Hlal]] is noted as actively seeking to gain popularity with other races.

The Dragon Gods first appeared in [[Advanced Dungeons & Dragons]] in [[Monster Mythology]], with the [[Forgotten Realms]] [[splatbook]] [[Cult of the Dragon]] looking into the draconic pantheon as worshipped on Faerun. They were updated to 3rd edition in the [[Draconomicon]], and have languished in obscurity ever since.
