The '''Khenra''' are a race of [[furry|humanoid jackals]] native to the [[plane]] of [[Amonkhet]] in [[Magic: The Gathering]]. Born in the image of Hazrozet, God of Zeal, they are tall, lean and graceful creatures, possessed of a natural love of combat, which fits their racial alignment with Red Mana. Though they favor hand to hand combat, relying on speed, agility and aggression over heavy armor, they also have proud traditions of ranged combat (though they tend to prefer hurling weapons instead of bows) and spellcraft, especially in the arts of fire magic.

Khenra are most unusual because of their fertility; except in rare cases, all khenra are born as fraternal or identical twins, and some unique magical aspect of the race leads to a strong emotional and perhaps even spiritual link between khenra twins. The race naturally excels at cooperating with their siblings, and khenra tag-team fighters are not only the norm for their people, but rightly feared for their lethality on the battlefield. Should one twin die, the survivor is devastated, always becoming even more aggressive and unhinged in battle - some are suicidal, others simply seem to go berserk without their sibling around to balance them out. Khenra born without a twin are regarded with superstitious awe and dread; believed to have murdered their sibling in the womb, they display ruthless aggressiveness on the battlefield, and are almost certain to win themselves a glorious death in the final Trial of Zeal.

Alongside the [[Aven]], [[Minotaur]] and [[Naga]], the Khenra appeared as a playable race for [[Dungeons & Dragons 5th Edition]] in "Plane Shift: Amonkhet", where they had the following stats:
::+2 Dexterity, +1 Strength
:: Medium size
:: Base speed 35 feet
:: Khenra Weapon Training: Proficient with the Khophesh (Longsword), Spear and Javelin.
:: Khenra Twin: If you have a living twin who is within sight of you, then you can re-roll any result of a 1 on an attack roll, ability check or saving throw - second result stands, even if it's another 1. If your twin is dead, or you were born without one, then you are Immune to Fear.
