'''Nightgaunts''' are an alien race from the Cthulhu Mythos by [[H.P. Lovecraft]]. Native to the [[Dreamlands]], they are the closest thing Lovecraft ever got to depicting a standard [[devil]] for his Mythos. For the most part, nightgaunts look like a winged generic devil, with goat-like legs, goat-like horns, and a long tail with a forked tip. The big difference is that they have no facial features whatsoever, and their onyx-black skin is an unnaturally sleek, shiny mass, similar to the hide of a dolphin.
