Editing Autarch

An Autarch is an Eldar of the craftworlds who has become lost of the path of command, a specialized path which studies all the different tactics a warhost of the Eldar craftworld uses and then brings their different skills and abilities together into a single force that maximizes all their strengths and covers their individual weaknesses.

The Eldar of the craftworlds follow a system of mental focuses known as the paths, to prevent their immense emotions and desires from overwhelming them and making them vunerable to She Who Thrists, the Chaos god Slaanesh. The god was created by this lack of restraint by the ancient Eldar of the past and which leaves the surviving Eldar at risk of being consumed in the same way. The paths teaches an Eldar to focus on one task at a time, having them master them before switching to another path. This process is unnatural for the Eldar but their only hope of survival.

There is the danger that an Eldar will become obsessed with the path they find themselves on and will be unable to do any other task or duty. This is referred to as being lost on the path and those that do are treat with horror and pity by their kin although they don't deny the mastery those Eldar gain from excelling in their path.

The path of command is the path that studies tactics, make plans and guides the Eldar in their war efforts. Those who become lost on it are referred to as Autarchs. Before becoming Autarches, these Eldar would have studied in many of the different war temple of Khaine, mastering each path before choosing another. What this means is that Autarchs will have a range of varied skillsets and will be powerful warriors as great leaders.

On the board this allows you to select all manner of wargear to kit out your Autarch and create your own unique leader for your host. No two Autarchs may need look alike and the modeling possibilities are endless.
