==Overview==
They are masked, lest their individuality makes them seem too proud, and have more experience than the newer [[Cawdor Bonepicker|Bonepicker]]s that often follow them around. They look somewhat similar to the Bonepicker, but a Brethren is not a scrawny-looking nerd but a capable individual that wear thicker clothing to denote their rank.

Since they are considered as 'adults' to the youthful Bonepickers, the Brethren are armed with crude polearms, fashioned after the mighty weapons of the [[Custodes|Emperor's bodyguards]] called a [[Gun Axe|Blunderpole or an Axe Gun]] with an attached [[Autogun]] or [[Blunderbuss]] depending on the preference. Other weapons include reclaimed [[Autogun]]s, [[Sawn-Off Shotgun|Sawn-Off Shotguns]], [[Grenades & Explosives#Incendiary Charge|Incendiary Charges]], with some hand-picked Gangers being entrusted to [[Longrifle]]s and [[Flamer]]s. There are even people esteemed enough to wear [[Flak Armour]]!

In a typical Cawdor Gang troupe, it usually consists of three-four of these Brethren plus a single Bonepicker to learn things from them.
