==Biography==

In his pursuit of extreme purity, Inquisitor Darkhammer has personally ordered the [[Exterminatus]] of more than thirty worlds. While he has done this for actual important reasons -- heresy, corruption, sedition -- he could also be quite ''petty''. Like nuking a world to destroy a xenos Artifact his rival Helyna Valeria had been pursuing. This happened ''multiple times''.

This rivalry eventually comes to head when he learned about the newest device that Valeria was after: the Dimensional Forge, which could supposedly create a null zone sectors-wide where Daemons could not manifest. He ordered an Exterminatus on the world that Valeria thought the artifact was kept. Billions died, but that was the final straw; Valeria declaired him ''Excommunicate Traitoris'', and chased him across Segmentum Obscurus to the world of Mindo Station.

Their followers battled there for a day, but in the end Darkhammer managed to escape on a starliner.

Codex: Inquisition would add a small aside about Darkhammer being part of the Months of Shame, but interestingly enough he was noted to NOT pursue ships with Armageddon survivors, because he was terrified of what the [[Space Wolves]] would do to him.
