==Mystaran Faunus== Faunus in Mystara is the Immortal patron, and progenitor, of fauns and the various forest-dwelling races. ===History=== Faunus is among the older Immortals who have forgotten their own origins. He vaguely remembers being a goat-like being that was mutated by magic and slowly becoming more and more human and intelligent. He spent much of his long mortal life indulging in the various earthly pleasures, tending flocks of sheep and rams, and bringing forth the fauns. He eventually stumbled onto the path to Immortality and achieved it under the sponsorship of Terra. ===Appearance=== Faunus appears either as a man with the head or antlers of a deer, or as a faun or satyr that is either young and handsome, or old, drunk, and fat. ===Personality=== Faunus is incredebly self-centered, lazy, and lacking any real ambition, as evidenced by the fact that he's relatively weak compared to his age. He rarely interacts with mortals, only caring about the forest-dwelling races and herd animals. Because of his personality, he has no real enemies, and is only allies with Eiryndul and Zirchev, both of whom are also patrons of sylvan races. clear
