Editing I1: Dwellers of the Forbidden City (section)

I1 has the player characters learning about major trade disruption from an unnamed jungle region and set off to learn what is going on. As they head south they are met by an unnamed chief of an unnamed tribe who also want to know what the deal with caravans is and why they have been going missing and ruining trade (oh, and his son is missing too apparently). The characters then set off through a thick jungle area and soon discover the Forbidden City.

Within the city proper there is really very little plot. Some monsters are raiding the caravans but they aren't the only ones in the city and most are basically indifferent to the outside world. That's not to say most of them are neutral or anything, most of them are evil, but they are more focused on dealing with the other factions in the city to let things such as caravans bother them.

That's about it. The PCs head off to kill some monsters, recover loot and maybe save some people. The draw to the adventure isn't so much the [[Adventure hook|plot hook]] as the possibility for the DM and party to adapt and modify the Forbidden City as they wished (which most groups did since there really isn't much there).
