As the platoon formed up and began to march towards the rally point, Commissar Horasho lingered for a moment, staring at the column of smoke still rising from the dugout.
He fished an old, worn picture from his pocket and stared at it for a long moment.

“Love Can Bloom...” Horasho whispered, stroking the picture of the Carnifex longingly. “Someday, I'll find you again.”
He slipped the pic back into his pocket and turned away, walking swiftly to catch up with the platoon.
