==Overview== For over a thousand years the most western fringe of the Imperium has been barred to travel. Cloaked by a violent warp storm, it has long since fallen out of step with the broader Imperial institutions. But the Warp Storms have receded, and the Oestalan Sector has been revealed to the Galaxy again. Upon discovering that the Sector had resurfaced, the High Lords of Terra decided to commission a Crusade to reclaim it for the Golden Throne, to bring the human worlds back into the fold, and to eliminate the Xenos and Heretics that inhabit it. During the Crusade's planning stages, a standard Imperial Brief was sent out en mass by the Administratum to Imperial Worlds which would be required to provide military forces or resources to the Crusade. However, a small clerical error resulted in the Crusade being called the Osetalan rather than the correct Oestalan Crusade. While this mistake was noticed some 3.4 years later and a correctly spelled Brief re-issued, the damage was already done. Some of the contacted Imperial worlds proceeded to send their Crusade tithe to the Osetalan Sector to the galaxy's Far North, reducing the total size of the Crusade force by approximately half. Furthermore, while High Admiral Lucius Errando Amadeus the Third was appointed as the Crusade's Imperial Navy Commander and Grant's second sub-commander, he and his own second-in-command, Vice Admiral Tunirius Junnic Yaz never arrived at the Crusade staging ground with their respective fleets. Thus Rear Admiral Krieger Tremaine Bartonometh Murrey Sanguinistix the Fifth. has had to take up the duties of sub-commander of the Crusade. Even the Adeptus Astartes have a presence in the great Crusade. The Vengeful Seraphim have come, but do not place themselves fully under the command of the Crusade, nor have they taken command of it. It is almost as if they are annoyed by it's presence, for the seem to be searching for one foe in particular, above the xenos and common heretics that plague the sector. A Deathwatch team is also present, no doubt with the goal of crippling the various xenos threats, such as the Otroki Dominion, before they can become real threats to the sector. Their current goal is the investigation of the presence of Tyranids without a Hive Fleet.
