Editing Dungeons & Dragons 3rd Edition races (section)

The MMII contained no new races that were playable as written, but it gave a ton of monsters the [[you can certainly try]] treatment. Pseudo-playable monsters were indicated with ECLs instead of level adjustments, and those ECLS were indicated in their descriptions rather than their stat blocks.
