Like your elven brethren you are quite good from afar, but the lack of global elite rules means that you will be hitting less than other elves. Vicious makes up for it as it helps you tear through armor, but it isn't as helpful at a range. Your melee beasts like the Hydra make up for it however, and vicious becomes a lot better when you don't have to worry about cover penalties, leading to your army being better in melee than elves. Get some Crossbowmen hordes, backed up by heavy melee hitters, and heavy cavalry options and you will dominate opponents. Wait for them to come to you, then mow their weakened hordes down in melee.
