=====Section 2 - Index Chorgoris or "The Rule of Khan"===== ;Date Enacted :M30 ;Author :Jaghatai Khan ;Focus :Migratory Chapters, flexibility, combined arms combat ;Fleet Based or Fortress Monestary :Fleet Based ;Special Characteristics Index Chorgoris provides guidelines on nomadic or spaceborne chapters. It is less interested in composition and focuses more on clear lines of succession, Chivalric rules regarding behavior between fellow astartes and non-astartes, and managing Intra-chapter disputes. The Rule of Khan is considered to be less stringent on the Chapter as a whole, but places more of the rules and liability on individual Astartes. Eventually Other Primarchs (with the permission of Khan/Ultramarines Chaptermaster) added their own Indexes (Shown in order of their creation) ======Section 2(a) Regula Mortis (Rule of Garro)====== ;Date Enacted ;Author ;Focus ;Differences from Index ;Special Characteristics Special section of rules for loyalist sons of traitor legions. Mostly follows Index Chorgoris, but with guidelines pertaining to managing a Chapter composed of multiple Genefathers, as well as additional rules for safegaurding against corruption. ======Section 2(b) Regula Melanautis (Second Rule of Magnus or The Rule of The Warp)====== ;Date Enacted ;Author ;Focus ;Differences from Index ;Special Characteristics Created to help in the creation of chapters who operate near the Eye of Terror, and as such have more encounters with Warp Storms and Demonic incursions. In addition to regula prosperae, which was designed for sedentary chapters, Magnus composed a variation for The Khan's nomadic chapters. Given that the Khan already has multiple stipulations for the proper guidelines for librarius, Magnus' rule is mostly about additional tactics for Librarians as well as rituals and lifestyle precautions for Marines that spend so much time in the Warp. ======Section 2(c) Regula Skythiae (Rule of The Nomad)====== ;Date Enacted :M40 ;Author :Jaghatai Khan (with consultation from the Oligarchs of Commoragh) ;Focus :Use of Webway, rapid deployment ;Differences from Index :Greater emphasis on Commerce and diplomacy with Dark Eldar ;Special Characteristics :Provisions for using web way for rapid action deployment. The Millennium long ambition of the Khan realized through the benignly negligent sponsorship of Commoragh (who were concerned about the rise of Yndarria and the Radical Cult of Ynnead). Created in M40, the Rule of The Nomad offers significantly more flexibility than the bureaucratically asphyxiated Regula Viatorres Astartes. In exchange for limitations on operations in the webway, they have greater flexibility travelling through the webway, making these Astartes chapters the ultimate force for rapid response and deployment throughout the Imperium with little Eldar interference.
