==13th Age== Being a derivative of the traditional d20 mold to a decree, there is quite a few holdovers that [[13th Age]] holds for the Cleric. While proficient wearing heavy armor, the Cleric can't use martial weapons, instead relying on its considerable array of spells to either buff or attack (uniquely, Clerics can cast some spells to either target one person for increased effect or to cover multiple guys). Of course, healing is also part of the equation, most significantly in the Heal spell a Cleric can use twice each battle. Notably, this makes the Cleric more than capable as a combatant, especially with a special weapon that buffs the weapon to incredible degrees. The domains take the place of the character-defining talents most classes take, and as a caster the Cleric can only pick three. While none of these provide special spells (outside of the 3PP Dark Paths & Twisted Alleys splat, which does), each domain does give a significant benefit, from boosted healing to proficiency with martial weapons to marking a target enemy for allies to hit. Each domain also has an Invocation, a special ability that they can trigger to provide a special buff, though the party can only trigger an invocation once per day for each domain - which means no other Clerics or Paladins with the same domain can trigger that same invocation later after the first Cleric did.
