===(5E) How to troll the Tarrasque.=== The tarrasque has a Dex mod of 0 and does not have immunity to being prone. The grease spell (1st level Conjuration; 1 minute=10 rounds duration) can make it fall over like it stepped on the world's biggest banana peel. Since Tarrasque has large Fighting Space, it is affected by grease if it stands on even one greased Square - while you can easily avoid said grease due to your small size allowing you to walk around it (e.g. you go into 20 to 40 feet wide corridor, and cast grease right in the middle of it; you can walk around the greased spot, while Tarrasque cannot). Tarrasque's big size also means it'll fall repeatedly - as it falls prone, moves, falls again, rinse and repeat until it walks out of greased spot - until it succeeds on Dexterity roll and has enough movement to not end it's turn on grease. Dexterity check happens when grease appears, when someone walks into grease, or ends turn on grease. Basically, Tarrasque needs to move it's 20*20+ feet ass out of 10*10 grease square, and it's 40 feet speed is effectively 20 due to difficult terrain; since tarrasque needs to move 30 feet to cross the puddle, it needs 2 turns not counting turns wasted due to falling prone. If Grease appears in center, or close to center, of tarrasque's fighting space, it would need 1 turn to move to closest edge of puddle and 2 (potentially more) to farthest (one where you stand) - not counting turns wasted due to falling prone. On top of that, you can use "Climb Onto a Bigger Creature" action (optional rule) to use said big monster as terrain, therefore evading the puddle; monster doesn't have such option. That's assuming the arena is even big enough for Tarrasque to be able to position itself out of greased spot. Later, you could run around the now-existing greased spot to again put it between you and tarrasque. You could also try various mundane types of slippery terrain. * This method also works with other big, clumsy monsters (generally, something big with Dexterity Modifier +0 or negative - or, at most, +2 or so). For example, big Dragons are smart enough to understand what grease spell is, and can fly, but still have Dexterity 10 and no immunity to being prone β so if you fight them in cramped quarters (where they can't fly) and cast Grease, they'll be in trouble (Ancient Dragon would be more affected than Wyrmling - since Ancient is 15 feet bigger, only 10 feet faster, and has same Dexterity). Also usable on Dragons (if landed), Giants, big Constructs, massive Monstrosities (e.g. Tarrasque, Kraken, Purple Worm), etc.
