/tv/ is fun. And as a fun board, they're behind a lot of memes or jokes that are frequently reused every where else on 4chan. Television series and movies being too very popular mediums, it's always very likely that people fromm all across the imageboard actually watched, or at least heard of, a series that currently piqued /tv/'s interest. We owe the board such classics as:
* '''Bane Posting''': /tv/ is particularly fond of the Dark Knight Trilogy by Christopher Nolan, just like the rest of the Internet. But they are particularly fan of the third installment of the series; The Dark Knight Rises. Why? Because of Bane, mostly. The undecipherable dialog, the weird delivery of his lines, his general motive and overall presentation came as a bowl of fresh air for the character who was, the recent years preceding the movie, depicted as a mindless brute. One scene, however, stands out of all the rest to /tv/'s eyes: The plane scene. The opening of the film, accompanied by a very tense music, subpar acting by the character only known as "C.I.A." by the community, his discussion with Bane and the pace of it all made for picturesque material for general shitposting. /tv/ loves to re-do the entire scene and had an interesting twist to it; whether it is by renacting it using vocaroos, calling Nolan's strange obsession with namedropping by replacing the entirety of the dialog with made up names, or cloning C.I.A.
* '''American Psycho''': A particular example of a meme that not only branched off /tv/ and unto all of 4chan, but also off the website itself as shitposting regarding the peak of Christian Bale's career is frequent on websites and apps such as YouTube, Discord and Twitter. American Psycho features Patrick Bateman, a 27 year-old financial prodigee and ''100% butt-fuck insane psychopath'' [[Khorne Berserkers|who preys on the people he vehemently hates with a flaming passion]] and [[-4 STR|women]]. The sheer quotability and state of American Psycho as a cult classic gave the film a massive fanbase. From scene re-enactments to parodies, /tv/ celebrates the movie whenever they can. There are too many injokes on the board to list them all here. Oh, one question though; [[Bard|Do you like Huey Lewis and the News?]]
* '''Fesh Pince of Blair''': While not /tv/ specific, it's to be noted that /tv/ preferred Dikekike's YTP of the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air than the actual series itself. Often quoting passages or entire scenes from the trilogy. Also, variants of the show's intro can be found here and there, especially when anything happens to Will Smith.
* '''Harry Potter posting''': The Harry Potter movies really aren't popular at all on /tv/. [[Meme|HOOOOOOOWEEEEEVEEEEEEEEEEEER]], the community frequently mocks it by calling J.K. Rowling's poor writing and worldbuilding, mocking her rants on Twitter or Emma Watson's shenanigans, writing prompts, copypastas and greentexts related to it, and calling the series shit-literature (on a board that discusses movies). You may have seen pastas of people complaining that Rowling would rather say "shake their legs" instead of "running", pictures of Voldemort saying "Deh!" or Severus Snape's ramblings about making polymorph potions to masturbate himself while disguised as Lily Potter. They don't like it, but you bet your ass they love to pock fun at Mr. Potter.
* '''Simpsons Posting''': The Simpsons were celebrated here and there on /tv/, and just like the rest of the fan community, /tv/ hates anything beyond Season 8 or 9. Recurrent threads of Simpsons editing could be observed from time to time, and they consisted of people taking scenes or entire segments of classic Simpsons episodes and completely altering them or making referrences to other Simpsons jokes or scenes. Some results are pretty surreal. But of course, that was before...
* '''Sneed''': Otherwise known as Sneed's Seed and Feed (formerly Chucks's) is a thrown-in background joke and scene from an episode of the Simpsons. Naturally the scene itself and the jokes aren't remarkable on their own, and the characters aren't particularly noteworthy, unlike someone like Hank Scorpio for example. So of course, some guys on /tv/ thought it would be super fun to spam the joke everytime they had the occasion to do it. Despite the janitors' best efforts to shut down any sort of Sneedposting, their combat was in vain, since Sneed became the new hot thing of /tv/. Any time the Simpsons are mentionned, you'd witness not just a derailment, but a literal flood of Sneedposts. They were unstoppable. Repeating the same joke over and over again. People complained, their cries were followed by "Sneed"s. People made anti-sneed posts, none of which succeeded. And then Sneed branched off /tv/ and went on other boards; /v/, /x/, /pol/, etc. The only board left to absolutely despise Sneed being /co/. For many, /tv/'s reputation and overall quality was ruined by sneedposting, which is... Debatable. At one point, the meme reached a point where the characters featured in the skits were used to a similar manner as Pepe the Frog. Showcasing them in absurd and politically incorrect situations. 
TLDR: Things escalated quickly.
* '''Buck Breaking''': Completely ignoring the debates that surrounded Tariq Nasheed's film, /tv/ jumped on the controversial hype of the film to yet again post politically incorrect memery. For a long while, the board was filled with greentexts of anons roleplaying as slave-owners who anally annhilate their slaves. It was... Something. This also led to the ironic praise of Tariq Nasheed and his silly ideas.
* '''Blade Runner 2049''': With Dennis Villeneuve's attempt at a sequel to the cyberpunk cult classic, /tv/ fell for the movie's charm and praised the movie throughout. Remember that scene with Ryan Gosling crying and shouting? Or that scene where he confront a giant, interactive ad with a woman? Yeah, /tv/ was obsessed with those scenes in particular.
