Editing Bladeling (section)

==In 5th Editions==
Bladelings actually haven't appeared in [[Dungeons & Dragons 5th Edition]] at all so far - officially, that is. They can be found in the third-party [[splatbook]] series [[Ulraunt's Guide to the Planes]], specifically ther volume focusing on [[Acheron]], which provides mechanics for them not only as monsters, but also as a playable race. Lore-wise they've reverted back to their classic [[Planescape]] lore.

::Ability Score Increase: +1 Constitution, +1 to one other ability score of your choice
::Size: Medium
::Speed: 30 feet
::Darkvision 60 feet
::Acid Resistance: You are Resistant to Acid damage.
::Ocanthan Heritage: You have Advantage on saving throws against nonmagical versions of the environmental effects of Extreme Cold, Strong Winds and High Altitude.
::Razor Storm: Once per day, as an action, you can expel blades from your skin in a 15ft cone. Each creature in that cone must make a Dexterity saving throw (save DC = 8 + your Constitution modifier + your proficiency bonus), taking 2d6 piercing damage on a failed save, or half as much on a successful one. The damage increases to 3d6 at 6th level, 4d6 at 11th level, and 5d6 at 16th level.
::Spiked Skin: If a creature within 5 feet of you hits you with a melee attack, you can use your Reaction to deal 1d4 Piercing damage to that creature.
::Epic Racial - Into the Fray: At 25th level, you add +d6 to your Initiative rolls.
