==Bloodlines: The Hidden== These bloodlines are characterized as particularly secretive, reclusive and, well, hidden from greater vampire society than is normal for vampires. Alucinor: Mekhet Bloodline. Vampires obsessed with the mystical powers of dreams. Whilst their unique Discipline of Insomnium allows them to manipulate the dreams of others and even shroud waking minds in daydreams, they themselves have become the epitome of the restless dead; they are so attuned to the dreamworld that they spend their daylight hours endlessly roaming the dreamworld, and thus they recover no Willpower for resting - worse, their grip on reality is permanently shaky as a result. Anvari: Daeva Bloodline. Proof that vice can survive even undeath, the Anvari are descendants of an opium addict so thoroughly besotted with narcotics that he found he could only draw full nourishment from opiate-laced blood, a curse he passed on to his childer. At least he also gave them the gift of Nepenthe, a Discipline that allows them to manipulate the blood chemistry of others. Architects of the Monolith: Ventrue Bloodline. A secret cabal of vampires obsessed with combining ritual geomancy and Blood Magic, believing that they can use architecture to magnify their powers exponentially, in effect turning a city into a self-perpetuating eldritch engine that serves their needs if they can only control the way the city is structured. Whilst they are all barking mad (Narcissism upon entering the Bloodline, automatically gain Megalomania as their first severe derangement, in both cases focused on achieving world domination through geomantic rituals), there may be some grains of truth to their philosophy. After all, the rites of the Gilded Cage genuinely do let them use architectural infrastructure to perform wide-ranging magical effects. Bohagande: Gangrel Bloodline. Wandering vampire nomads with the ability to steal the luck from others and ultimately use it to empower themselves. Whilst their Discipline of Sunnikuse is powerful, the eerie light-drinking blackness of their auras makes them obviously the source of strange magical effects. Gethsemani: Nosferatu Bloodline. Almost as much a Lancea et Sanctum Bloodline as a Clan bloodline, the Gethsemani are a rarity indeed; Nosferatu embraced from the ranks of stigmatics, devout believers who spontaneously develop wounds mimicking those attributed to Jesus before his death. Whilst their power of Stigmatica allows the Ecstatics to blasphemously recreate these wounds in mortals, producing blood that imbues different dark blessings on the consumer, they also suffer from a near-controllable masochistic yearning for the sacred agonies they enjoyed in life, meaning they may potentially waste precious Vitae upon each night's rise by engaging in acts of self-mutilation. Khaibit: Mekhet Bloodline. The last remnants of a sacred vampire cult who, sworn to the service of Set, embraced the powers of darkness to protect the living against even worse threats. When Christianity snuffed out their parent religion, the Khaibit turned to serving other vampires as guardians and elite servants, but even that way of unlife is fading. Their spiritual connection to the darkness makes them more vulnerable to sunlight-induced fear frenzy, but also gives them the Discipline of Obtenebration - the power to physically shape and manipulate darkness. Morotrophians: Nosferatu Bloodline. Originating in the days of fearsome, rule-dominated monasteries, this bloodline has since spread to infiltrate hospitals, mental asylums, prisons, nursing homes - all the places where people are held in literal or metaphorical captivity to the authority of superior figures. Ironically, the Morotrophians may wield tremendous power over their lairs - especially as their Discipline of Institutionalize allows them to control the emotions, minds and terrain of their homes - but they also prisoners in their own right, suffering an intense agorophobia. Nahualli: Ventrue Bloodline. The fruit of one crazed vampire's attempts to create his own duality-centric religion inspired by the Aztecs, these mad bastards embrace humanity and the Beast as entirely separate but equally important figures, devoting themselves to acting as human as possible... whilst also performing serial human sacrifices in honor of the Beast. They struggle to resist Frenzy due to this voluntary supplication, but their Discipline of Tezcatl does allow them to manipulate their Beast in ways that other vampires cannot. Nelapsi: Daeva Bloodline. A strange strain that originated in Czechoslovakia, these vampires are cursed with supernaturally ravenous appetites; they burn Blood Potency Vitae just upon waking, instead of the usual 1 Vitae! Arrogant, proud and cruel, they have no unique Disciplines, but have picked up some strange Devotions in their reclusive home. Oberlochs: Gangrel Bloodline. Created when a self-righteous Gangrel decided to curse the survivors of a coal mine company-owning family after they were lynched by their vengeful employees, their creator expected his hate-spawned childer to die swift, ignorance-fueled deaths due to his abandoning them directly after the Embrace. Instead, they have survived and even thrived, forming a chain of blood-drinking psycho hillbilly clans scattered around the backroads and deep woods of Appalachia and beyond. All this, despite their ignorance meaning they continue aging despite being vampires. They have no unique Disciplines, but have invented a number of surprising Devotions. Qedashah: Mekhet Bloodline. Taking their name from a largely forgotten Hebrew goddess, this all-female line (for they can only embrace women; men simply die horrible deaths) believe they have a sacred duty to act as the guiding mothers of the undead, which compels them to spread the Embrae as far and wide as they can get away with. Even though their cursed blood causes their bites to be agonizingly painful, in contrast to the dark bliss of a normal vampire's feeding. Their Discipline of Embrocation allows them to create magical salves, balms and incenses from their own blood. Rakshasa: Nosferatu Bloodline. Emerging from the Hindu population, these Kshatriya vampires believe they are literally the demons they name themselves after, resulting in hideous appearances even by Nosferatu standards and fiery tempers that make them quick to frenzy.
