==Faeries in Magic: The Gathering==

Faeries in Magic: The Gathering are blue aligned, with green and black as secondary alignments, and often with the rogue tribe.  They are typically low stat flying creatures, and among the cheapest that blue can field.  Deathtouch, flash, tap to damage, and target removal abilities are typical of faeries, along with various scry, draw, and discard effects consistent with their blue nature.

They were most prevalent in the Lorwyn block, where they were largely responsible for everything going to shit and turning into Lovecraftian Brothers Grimm.  It was also in this block that they got their most defining card, ''Bitterblossom'', a black 1B enchantment that hits its owner for one life every turn to spit out a 1/1 flyer.

Faeries are present in other blocks, from Mercadia to Kaladesh, with varying appearances and roles, from messengers to thieves, but in all appearances their general demeanor is the same.  They are amoral, scheming, thieving, murderous little bastards whose tiny nature belies their mighty inner rage.  Whether humanoids with wings or bugs with faces, they will all gouge your eyes out while laughing maniacally, because they hate you and frankly everything else that isn't themselves.
