== House Centrella ==
While the Magistracy is nominally an elected monarchic matriarchy, the popularity of House Centrella has all but ensured their near-permanent enthroning as '''Magistrix'''. Because the house's founder was a MechWarrior, a celebrity, and historically quite annoyed with the Inner Sphere's bullshit; they have typically been both pop-star pretty and sharp as a tack, something they have been very good at exploiting throughout the generations. Though life has not always been kind them; most of the Magistrixes during the 2700's and well into the 2900's didn't take to life with and without the [[Star League]] all that well and hit the bottle hard, and the [[Succession Wars]] weren't all that better for them. Only after intermarrying with the Liao family ironically did their fortunes eventually start to reverse.
