==IRL== [[File:9209a06d4914d6c9da3a69cbe5433dd3.jpg|300px|thumb|right|Cameraman: "Wait, aren't you British?" Soldier: "Um..baguette?"]] The MILAN system originates in France as a joint project between France and Germany to make a universal European SACLOS missile system. Being rolled out in the early 70's it was pretty damn impressive for its time, being immune to most types of jamming systems and really only limited by its range. (un)Fortunately for the French army, they wouldn't actually have much need for them until the Gulf War, so in typical NATO fashion the French were eager to ship them out as aid in other conflict zones, most famously to the hands of the mujahideen in Afghanistan, and most recently by the Germans to the peshmerga where it was indeed confirmed a MILAN could pop an Abrams (albeit an export one). In the 80s your average French infantry were organized much the same as any other NATO ally so there isn't much to be said here which hasn't already been said. {{French Forces in Team Yankee}}
