===Founding and Feast of Blades===
The Scions of Dorn were formed as a brother chapter to the Imperial Fists and Black Templar chapters under the Gene-Seed of Rogal Dorn during the 9th Founding. The Imperial Fists chose one of their own from the Honour Guard to be the Chapter Master one Eanarde Malik. The first recruits to the Scions of Dorn were not trained in chapter by the Scions but by the Black Templars and the Imperial Fists as a joint effort.

During the mid-three centuries of M39  the Scions have managed to squash multiple rebellions in the outer rim, put down a pair of large Ork WAAAGH!'s, cleansed a corrupted Imperial Chapel, and even destroyed the moon sized-Space Hulk "Lauded Curse". 

During the closing years of M.39 the Scions of Dorn attend one of many Feasts of Blades. But this time it is different; after centuries of loss at this event the Scions finally earn their first victory and claim being the Champions after a grueling match against the Black Templars and their Herald-Champion Dorian Vladek. The emerging champion is a Thane of the “Court of Matthew” by the name of Kaito Jarhong. Later when the Scions are put through a trial of fire it is none of than the Herald-Champion himself who comes to stand with them.
