==Marbo in Game== Marbo is an Elites unit choice for the [[Imperial Guard]] even though he's the quiet type and can't take a warlord trait (HQs secret weapon?). In 9th edition he is still a force to be reckoned with, albeit not the OP meme character some of us know. ===9th edition=== {| border=1 cellspacing=0 cellpadding=4 style="text-align:center;" |- valign=top ! On the turn he Deep Strikes, he can re-roll charge rolls. *'''Like Fighting a Shadow:''' Once per battle, at the end of any fight phase, Sly Marbo can disappear. If he does, remove him from the battlefield. At the end of your next Movement phase he deep strikes in (but doesn't re-roll charge rolls). *'''Loner''': Sly Marbo can never have be your Warlord (cuz he's mooooooody). *'''Regimental Tactics''' *{{W40Kkeyword|catachan}}, {{W40Kkeyword|melta mine}}, {{W40Kkeyword|sly marbo}}: Can use the Melta Mine stratagem and gets +3 to the roll when using the Vicious Traps stratagem. ===Previous editions=== In 5th edition he used to cost the same amount as the current Marbo at 65 points (so the same as a 10-man squad of Guardsmen with a grenade launcher and power weapon) but took a hiatus in 6th, no doubt fighting xenos scum in the corner of the galaxy. He returned (as in more than just in SW:A) as of 5/4/17 for 7th. In 5th Edition, he used to have a demo charge to toss an S8 AP2 pie plate of death on a unit upon his arrival. That's how he would usually make his 65 points back. His 25 point incarnation loses the demo charge and instead gained the ability to "booby trap" 3 pieces of terrain, making them dangerous terrain for enemy units for the duration of the game. His method of gaining his points back is to hope that someone dies on the terrain or that he manages to kill a couple of models with his pistol or in CC. If you were able to strike him into enemy lines, Sly would inevitably die because your opponent would really want him dead due to the threat he posed against infantry. Marbo, however, IS the shit. His knife was 2+ poisoned, and his pistol was Strength X, AP3 with Sniper, and carried a melta bomb as standard, he was pretty good at assault and shooting (although his shooting attack was somewhat short-ranged, so you're better off charging the enemy lines) and would invariably wreck some expensive squad's day before he dies a glorious death, assuming he got close, due to his 5+ FNP, Stealth, Move Through Cover, Hit and Run and Fleet, and the special rules "He's Behind You", "Like a Shadow" and "Master of Ambush" allowed him to charge out of cover to strike into the enemy lines, unleash SIX ATTACKS (4 standard, +1 on the charge, +1 for having two weapons) AT I5 onto whichever poor SOB is in his sights, then disengage and RETURN TO RESERVES to strike from the shadows once again. If he ever DOES die, reality will stop for a brief moment and The Emprah will be heard to shout "What's wrong? Sly? Sly? SLYYYYYYYY!" (what really happens is he [[Meme|is dead, in pretend]], and then slips back into the jungle to strike at his foe at a later date...)
