=== Background === Sobou was, as a Mortal, raised to be the most elite warrior of a small kingdom, a kingdom built around a small forest that inexplicably grew in the Southern deserts. But the Guild had their eyes on this, and one day, led by a Wood Dragonblooded, they destroyed the kingdom nearly to the last man. Sobou fought bravely, killing many, but surrendering when his lord was slain. As he was to be killed himself, having been too injured to resist capture, he made an offer. "You have seen my skill in how many of your men I have slain. I have no fealty to a dead man, I value only strength and superiority in combat, and you have it. Accept me as one of your warriors." The Dragonblooded accepted this, and Sobou became a guild assassin under his rule. A decade he waited, working for the man who killed his lord. Then one night, the Dragonblooded was too busy enjoying a private celebration, and dropped his guard as he slept off the inebriation. In that moment of weakness, that Dragonblooded awoke only to find Sobou's claws through his throat. With his last breaths he called Sobou a "Bloody Wolf", and seconds later the Unconquered Sun chose that Bloody Wolf as one of it's own, a Night caste. Sobou took the Hearthstone the Dragonblooded had taken from his lord those years ago, and returned to the remains of his kingdom, forsaking all ties with the Guild. In the time he'd been gone, the forest had begun to regrow from the ashes, and a few survivors having restored a small village around the still-intact central pagoda that once housed the lord. Sobou was greeted with a welcome, and helped restore the forest by returning the Wood-aligned hearthstone to its proper place in the pagoda. The village prospered, but things had changed with the fall of the true kingdom. Once the forest had fully regrown after a year, Sobou and the villagers left. The villagers became nomadic, while Sobou took the hearthstone and vowed to attain Enlightenment on his own path. he has since wandered the deserts, acting as an assassin and bounty hunter, killing worthy opponents in his way so that he can never again fall to a superior foe.
