Alraun took the events of the Council of Nikaea very close to the heart. Using the Librarian's dismay, the Legion's High Genetor Wilmut Sachs tricked him into summoning Daemons of Nurgle. Disgusted by what he had done, Alraun abandoned Sachs and joined his greatest rival in the Genetory, Nikephoros Galen. Together, they have created the Green Man genetic compound that turned people into plant-based mutants. The injection of this compound tragically changed the Librarian's life, as from a very compassionate, conscientious man he turned into a sadistic monster whose atrocities on [[Siege of Terra (Hektor Heresy)#Sand Keepers vs. Green Men|Terra]] and [[Battle of Rai|Rai]] have become legendary.
