==Classes== The Wagadu Chronicles house all twelve of the standard D&D 5e classes, though they have different names and slightly different lore in this setting. Barbarians are known as Spiritual Warriors, as their powers are blessings granted to them by patron spirits. Bards are known as Griots and are highly important as the keepers of the oral traditions of Wagadu. Clerics are called simply Priests and fill their traditional role. Druids are Witch Doctors, mediating between Fallen and Spirits in the same way that priests mediate with the Gods. Fighters don't get any fancy names or fluff. A fighter is just a fighter, even in Wagadu. Monks get the new name of Ancestral Wrestlers. Paladins, known as Shrine Warriors, are the militant guards of the temples of the divine faiths of Wagadu and the protectors of the Priests. Rangers, known here as Hunters, are hugely important in the smaller communities, where they tend to be major providers of food. Rogues, like Fighters, don't get a fancy name. Adventuring rogues often focus on stealing from and tricking the Spirits with whom the Fallen share Wagadu over preying on the "mortals" whose ranks they belong to. Sorcerers are tied to Spirits and Ancestors, rather than the more European-flavored monsters of core D&D. Warlocks, again, don't get a fancy title. Wizards are divided into two major traditions; the the Asiman “Sukunya” alchemists and the Emere “Alawo” magicians.
