===Ducati Terrae=== Permanent positions of the High Lords of Terra. They represent significant imperial interest. ====Merchant Admiral==== Speaker for the interest of the Rogue Traders and other merchants ====Lord of The Void==== All military ships are under the governorship of The Grand Admiral. The only ships that do not fall under this lords jurisdiction are those belonging to the Rogue Traders. ====Subordinate Branches==== ;Lord Commodore Solar :Commander of the Sol Protection Fleet. In addition to protecting the Sol System from pirates and being the first line of defense against invasions, the Lord Commodore also regulates customs passing through Segmentum Solar. ;Lord Commodore Segmenti :Each Segmentum has its own small force of guard fleets. ::The Lord Commodores are nortoriusly corrupt due to their "strong working relationship" with Rogue Traders. ;Grand Admiral of The Fleets :Does most of the work coordinating the naval vessals of The Imperium. ;Lord Quartermaster :In addition to ensuring all naval ships are stocked and properly requisitioned, he also is responsible for the procurement of new vessals. ;Lord Bursar Legiones :Following the devastation wrought by Traitor legions using their navies, particularly the desolation of Ultramar, Chemos, and Deliverance. It was decided at the council of Terra that all legions would be required to sign over their ships to the High Lords of Terra. Every ship used by the Legione Astartes is "on loan" from The Lord Bursar, who supplies the ships with crews and provisions. ;Rear Admiral of The Auxilliries :Coordinates the tributed fleets by the Imperium's Suzerain nations. ;:Fleets under Grand Admiral of The Auxillaries ::In exchange for their greater Autonomy from Imperial Affairs, every "Socii" is expected to provide a significant tithe of ships and crews for the Imperium's navies. The size of the fleet demanded is determined by a Terran led census of their Allied nation's forge world and industry capacity. ;::McCragge Memorial Fleet ::Tithe of ships and elite crews provided by Royum Ultramar ;::Mechanicus Navy ::The State of The Art navy owned by the Adeptus Mechanicus ;::Macharian Drungarioi ::Grand Macharia's small but formidable Naval Force. ;::Kroot Sphereships ::The Kroot Nation's mysterious Sphereships are required to tithe years of service to the Rear Admiral ====Lord Commander Militant==== ====Captain General Adeptus Custodes==== ====Lord Regency Representative==== The Regency council is not permitted to step foot into the High Lords of Terra chambers without invitation. The Lord Regency Representative is the ambassador and liason to the Regency council. ====Peternoval Envoy==== ====Master of The Astronomicon==== ====Lord Administratus==== Head of The Imperium's vast bureaucracy. =====Subordnate offices===== ;Lord Censor :The Imperium's autonomous vassals operate under different laws of tribute as the rest of the Imperium. As such, it falls upon The Lord Censor to inspect the Vassals of The Imperium and ensure they provide tithes of wealth, goods, ships and soldiers appropriate to their capacity. ;Lord Numismator :Responsible for the keeping of the imperial currency. ;Lord Bursar :In addition to its tithes, a major source of the Terran government's income is through interest from Loans provided to the various governors, ecclesiarchs, nobility, generals, and rogue traders. :This office is not to be confused with Lord Bursar Navis, who governs the ships used by the Legiones Astartes. ;Lord Publicani :The Lord Publicani is responsible for procuring the tithes provided by the planets throughout the Imperium. :*There is a joke in the Imperial court that a good indicator for the financial health of the imperium is to see who has the thicker waistline: Lord Publicani or Lord Bursar. ====Lord Arcana==== ====Lord Juris==== ====Lord Gulliman==== Responsible for the Imperium's greatest bulwark against the many threats of the Galaxy, the Lord Gulliman is the Commander and Chief of all Codex Chapters. All non Legion members of the Adeptus Astartes answer to The Lord Gulliman. The Lord Gulliman in turn represents them to The High Lords of Terra. By design, the Lord Gulliman regularly butts heads with both the Legiarch Horus, and Lord Commander of The Astra Militarum. The Lord Gulliman is responsible for inspecting the capability of the Chapters, mediates inter-chapter disputes, as well as advising the creation or dissolution of chapters as needed. =====Jura Codices===== Modeled after The Aurelian Cult's "Ordo Lexicanum" the Jura Codices are codex lawyers similar to the ordo with two crucial differences: First, they answer to Lord Gulliman not to the Ecclesiarchic Council of Espandor, and second, they do are a non-religious order. As such despite being less well developed and significantly smaller, they are often used in inter chapter disputes in which at least one party is uncomfortable with the Aurelian Cult's mediation. Like the Ordo they are mediators for chapter disputes, and like the ordo, ultimately their decisions can be overruled by Jaghatai Khan. The Jura Codices, because of the order's secular nature, there are prominent antiquitae members of the ordo including the Katholean Vashti BΓch Avishag, famed for discovering an Alpha Legion plot against the Pleasure Seekers and Excorciators chapter. =====Relation with Jaghatai Khan===== Jaghatai Khan technically oversees the Codex chapters in terms of the laws that govern them, however Lord Gulliman is the one who ultimately has final say over where these chapters are deployed. =====The Tartarans===== Very little is known about this mysterious chapter of space marines. Its origin is as old as the First founding, but its genetic legacy is a secret. What is known is that it is a chapter personally commanded by The Lord Gulliman and serves to kill astartes chapters that have fallen to chaos or have gone rogue. This is technically under the jurisdiction of Konrad Curze, but The Lord Gulliman, and the other Chapters Astartes prefer that these disputes are kept in-house.
