== Starfinder == Starfinder decided to put Tieflings as one of multiple subraces for the Planar Scion race alongside other planetouched races. Curiously, the majority of planar scions were actually human in heritage in the times before the Gap, in which all intelligent and unintelligent life suddenly forgot a massive block of time. After it, the number of non-human scions grew in number to make it more even. Mechanically, this led to Aasimar and Tieflings (as well as further planetouched) growing off of a specific template. Due to Starfinder being more accommodating to the gonzo alien types that exist in the setting, the fact that they aren't humanoid isn't anywhere near as damning as it would be in PF1e. ::''Stat Bonus:'' +2 Dex, +2 Int, -2 Charisma ::''HP:'' 4 ::''Type:'' Outsider (Native) ::''Size:'' Medium ::''Base speed:'' 30 feet ::Darkvision 60 feet ::''Deceitful:'' +2 racial bonus on Bluff & Stealth checks. ::''Fiendish Resistance:'' TTieflings have Resistance 5 against Cold, Electricity, and Fire. ::''Fiendish Gloom:'' As a standard action, a tiefling can causing light within 10 feet of him to decrease two steps, up to bright, and light for 10 more feet beyond that to decrease one step, up to normal. This lasts for 1 minute, but the tiefling can dismiss it as a swift action. Magical light can increase the light level in this area only if itβs from an item or creature of a level or CR higher than that of the tiefling. A tiefling can use this ability once per day, plus a number of times equal to half his CR or level. '''Alternate Racial Traits''' *''Fiendish Inferno:'' Gain Overheat as a daily spell-like ability, which can be cast as Magical Explosion at level 11 onward. Replaces Deceitful and Fiendish Gloom. *''Fiendish Nihilism'' Level/2 times a day, a tiefling can eat the soul of an enemy that died last turn, giving Temp HP equal to the enemy's CR and a +1 divine bonus to AC for 1 minute. Replaces Deceitful and Fiendish Gloom. *''Fiendish Ruin:'' 1+level/2 times a day, a tiefling can enter a rage as a swift action. They gain -2 to AC and -1 to saves but a +1 divine bonus to attack rolls and +2 divine bonus to damage for 1 minute. Replaces Deceitful and Fiendish Gloom. *''Fiendish Torment:'' 1+level/2 times a day, a tiefling can attempt to grapple an opponent from 30 feet away, using their best ability modifier in place of strength. If successful, the enemy is grappled but the tiefling is not and can spend a move action each turn to maintain the grapple for 1 minute or until the enemy breaks free. Replaces Deceitful and Fiendish Gloom. *''Myopic Resilience:'' Pick one energy resistance already given. An tiefling will gain resist 10 to this one damage type, but lose any other resistances. Alters Infernal Resistance. *''Prehensile Tail:'' Gain a long and prehensile tail that can hold items and weapons like a third hand. This cannot add an extra attack however. Replaces Deceitful. *''Winged Scion:'' Gain wings and a fly speed of 30 ft with average maneuverability. Replaces Fiendish Gloom.
