Most of the southern UK has fallen into the ocean due to geological destabilization as a result of the rift storm. On the new coast line horrible amphibious creatures now devour individuals too unlucky or stupid to encounter them in the open. It is thought that these creatures could possible come from the rift, but is is unknown for sure as none have been seen crossing the area of continental europe between there and the great rift, and an origin minor rift storm was never documented.
