==Brave Series== 

Of minor note(as far as this page is concerned, anyway) is the franchise Takara made ''after'' Generation 1's Japanese run finished. Making a deal with Sunrise(the makers of the [[Gundam]] anime), the Brave(Yuusha) series began in 1990 with ''Brave Exkaiser'', and continued until 1997's ''King of Braves GaoGaiGar'', which received an OAV finale in 2000, and a Web Novel sequel running from 2016-2021. 

A series of Super Robot anime, the Brave series is notable here for the common recurring elements of intelligent transforming robots that often fought alongside or even ''as'' the Hero's mecha. Some were aliens, others built on Earth. But nearly all of them could easily be lost in a lineup of G1 Transformers in appearance (and the Autobots in general). So if you see a group of Transformer-looking robots that ''aren't'' Transformers, it's probably one of them.
