==Fairies in Pokemon==
Fairy type Pokemon were introduced in the 6th generation Pokemon games as a to counter the overpowered Dragon types by immune to Dragon type attacks. The type includes cute creatures (as Pokemon is known for) along with spirits and deities. Fluff states that a lot of them are benevolent, but they also include some tricksters and a few fit the classical malicious fairy archtype, not that it effects gameplay. As another reference to the classical fair folk being weak to iron or kept away by incenses, Fairy Pokemon are weak against Steel (steel is comprised of iron) and Poison types.
