The worlds soil was never optimal and food production is adequatly maintained by the inner two most planets. The world is home to the facilities of the Legio Kreuzius. In addition, manufacturing plants dedicated to the manufacturing of ammunition exist there. The planetary conversion and optimum output are expected to be complete by mid-42nd Millennium, for the time being, what foundries have been established are operating at 27.842% output capacity. 

'''Hephaestus-V''' is a Hive and mining world. The mines are primarily manned by servitors, slaves, and indentured criminals. Asteroids and meteors from the Asteroid belt between V and VI often fall to the planet to be mined. As a precaution against this, powerful void shields have been established around the three primary hive cities.
