===Anvil of Khorne=== *'''Chaos Cultists''' **Cultists, like Guardsmen in the Coliseum, are ridiculously fragile, but have huge squad size and fairly high damage, letting them benefit well from buffs. With Robe of Unholy Fortitude or Robe of the Deathless, can surprise you with doing some monstrous damage if they focus an enemy down. Shame that they can explode from harsh looks and curse words without those necessary durability upgrades. *'''Eldar Wraithguard''' **Pound for pound, a great early choice. Pins, does AOE damage, and is shockingly hard to actually kill with Clone buffs, making them pretty tanky to boot. Their main downsides are a slow movement speed and poor squad size, which makes them somewhat prone to being mobbed and interferes with how effective they'd otherwise be. This aside, a fine tank with pinning, which is always nice. *'''Space Marine Assault Marines''' **Terrible squad size and never sits still, but is still useful because of being reasonably tough and reliably able to get wherever they need to. This makes them absolutely fantastic when paired with Gift of Spite and/or Retaliation, making them a solid choice for [[That Guy]] Sorcerers who eschew improved doppleganger and treat their minions as disposable. *'''Imperial Guard Catachan Devils''' **Deceptively dangerous. These guys get special mention. They do pretty good damage, and periodically chuck grenades. A good squad size and knockback makes them quite versatile and surprisingly hard to kill for a guard unit, and unlike Stormtroopers they get a decent number per squad. Just plain ''useful'' with Clone buffs and frankly kind of hard to go wrong with. *'''Eldar Fire Prism Grav Tank''' **The Fire Prism is the least utilitarian clone on Anvil, but good god, it's still a keeper. With high HP, long range, and a massive AOE for its main gun, it can reliably wreck faces and seriously punch the shit out of clusters of lighter units. The main problem it has is that it chooses targets poorly while mostly relying on its massive main gun; this makes it less survivable than the other tanks and lowers its performance against groups, leading it to it being more vulnerable to being mobbed. *'''Imperial Guard Leman Russ Tank''' **Not as durable as the Predator Tanks, but has even more weapons to invest. The Leman Russ gets shit done and can easily out-damage the Predators and Looted Tanks in the short term; unfortunately its rear armor is terrible and it is thus much more vulnerable if mobbed. Still hard to go wrong with, especially in the short term. With Sustenance and Deathless it can stick around quite a while, and if it can remember to stay facing the right way, it can surprise you with how deadly it can be. *'''Ork Looted Tank''' **The Orky Predator is a little weaker than its Space Marine counterparts but has the advantage of being a little more aggressive offensively. This results in better heals via Gift of Sustenance, and keeps it a little bit more prone to sticking around than the Predators in the short term, but it also has weaker armor and as a result, tends to get bursted down pretty quickly if the player isn't lucky. Beware. *'''Chaos Dreadnought''' **One might think these would be a bad choice, and admittedly, they tend to not be quite as good as regular Dreads vs vehicle targets, but their autocannons have AOE, which means they'll mulch lighter infantry and heal themselves rather quickly via Sustenance as part of the bargain. Not a bad choice in the absence of better, and they're reliable enough to stick around as well.
