===Ant-Man / Giant-Man=== Introduced in Tales to Astonish #27, a scientist named Henry Pym invented a means to shrink himself, through what he would later dub ''Pym Particles''. He tested it on himself, resulting in having to escape an anthill, and he initially destroyed the serum he made for being "too dangerous" before restoring it later when he was reintroduced, and he created a helmet to control ants too. But Soviet KGB agents would abduct his first wife because of his work and she died in captivity. This prompted him to harness his inventions to fight crime as Ant-Man. He would become a founding Avenger with his love-interest and partner, the Wasp (see below) who he eventually married. Hank would later reverse his shrinking technology to grow and become Giant-Man, among other identities such as '''Yellowjacket''' and '''Goliath'''. He would have a tumultuous history, creating the villainous robot Ultron, developing behavioural problems from stress and feelings of inadequacy, making another robot to attack Avengers Mansion so he could defeat it, and infamously striking his wife (twice), which no one has ever let him live down since. There are two other notable Ant-Men: * '''Scott Lang:''' The second Ant-Man, and the one that stars in the MCU. Scott was a thief who stole the Ant-Man suit to fund treatment for his daughter, but was allowed to keep it when he proved he was a good person. * '''Eric O'Grady:''' The ''Irredeemable Ant-Man'', Eric is a former S.H.I.E.L.D. agent and more of a dick. He would strike up a friendship with the villainous mercenary Taskmaster. <!-- January, 1962 -->
