==In [[The Islands of Sina Una]]== As the Filipino-inspired campaign setting, ''aswangs'' are obviously present, and an insidious danger to the many settlements of the Islands, due to their ability to blend in with the general populace. Interestingly enough, ''aswangs'' in the setting are not undead, but rather are humanoid shapeshifters who prey on people. They are physical manifestations of what community considers taboo, the basest urges of a person given form. Indeed, they supposedly ''gain strength'' by going against the usual social norms of a given community -- wallowing in filth, eating raw meat, etc. -- though this is not reflected in the rules. The fact that they have a thing for the livers of living people don't help either, though their tastes aren't limited to that, with others craving blood, unborn children, or even the flesh of the recently-deceased. Aswangs normally start out human, and even after their transformations can still interbreed with regular humanity. Whats more, one cannot start out as an aswang, as the source of power is rare and has to be passed down from owner to owner, usually through familial lines. As this is something that was written ''by'' Filipinos, there's a '''much''' broader variety of Aswangs to be seen. Interestingly enough, the setting designers decided to lump the ''Mangkululam'' (a malevolent witch doctor-sorcerer-general baddie) with the Aswangs, despite them not being explicitly man-eating cannibals. <gallery> Sina_Una_Aswang_Balbal.PNG|Balbal Sina_Una_Aswang_Berbalang.PNG|Berbalang Sina_Una_Aswang_Gabunan.PNG|Gabunan, an elder and powerful (CR 18!)
