==The Great Crusade==
Following Gyahdred's reunion with his legion, the legion's dark reputation only intensified.  While the Legion had always recycled failed aspirants as serfs or servitors, Gyahdred took this a step further, using failed aspirants as the basis for entirely more lethal forces, creating a mixed force of murder-servitors, arcoflagellants, and worse.  As before, many of the records of the legion's activities are sealed, but a few representative examples are included below.

===The Night Watch===
Owing to the spectacularly gruesome nature of the famed Rogue Trader Lord Francois DuDrak's murder, when the Phantoms were assigned to the revenge and purgation campaign, they were saddled with a large contingent of remembrancers, a horrific decision in light of the fact that the foe was an infestation of cerebrophages from beyond the corners of the Warp.  The campaign was horrific on a scale not seen since the Rangdan Xenocides and, in the end, the only work to come out of it not quarantined as hazardous to sanity was the sole surviving Remembrancer's novella, The Night Watch, which dealt with the realization that even in the universe of the Imperial Truth, there were things to horrid for mortal comprehension.
