== Equipment and Knick-Knacks == Due to their role in facilitating international trade whether it is sanctioned or xenos, these swash-buckling space traders own a lavish variety of unusual and rare stuff as diverse as their crew members. Each Rogue Trader are quite the eccentric bunch and are known to carry a bunch of weird knick-knacks on their journeys, as such, they are the only folks you can find carrying around a Bolter Cane, an assortment of family heirloom master-crafted Flintlock Pistols or Muskets, a bunch of Xenos weapons like Shuriken Catapults or C'tan Phase Weapons and extremely rare artefacts like the <s>Lightsabre</s> Sollex-Aegis Energy Blade. They are also rich enough to lug around the aforementioned Delphis Mk.II: Ironclad when entering hostile environments for better protection. Rogue Trader fleets are as diverse and unique as their owners. For the sake of Battlefleet Gothic their ships can generally be stereotyped as the Rogue Trader Cruiser and the Rogue Trader Cargo Vessel, depending on whether they started life as warships and were de-rated, or began as merchantmen and were upgunned. The typical Rogue Trader house (if such a thing even exists) commands at least several ships, while the most mercantilist may fly their flag on dozens. More interesting are those captains who make due with just a single flagship to their name, often from hardship but occasionally out of specialization. Rare is the Rogue Trader who can afford to maintain a ship larger than a cruiser, but it's not unheard of for an upstart admiral to be retired early by granting them a warrant of trade and a beat up grand cruiser from the sector reserve. Rogue Traders of this sort tend to be martially inclined, operating more as private military contractors than explorers or traders, and will often maintain close ties with the Imperial Navy or some other branch of the Imperium.
