===Scarlet Witch===
Wanda Maximoff was originally introduced as a villain, part of the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants with her brother Quicksilver. Soon after, they would join the heroes. They used to be the children of Magneto, but that was later retconned when Ike Perlmutter was trying to devalue the X-men, as it was inconvenient that they were mutants and related to a major X-men villain. Her power is wielding [[Chaos]] magic. In practice, it basically means she's a massively powerful reality warper and can do anything the plot demands.

Married a robot, ha ha!

But more seriously, she's another hero that suffered a mental breakdown and did bad things as a result. Because of her desire to have children with her husband the Vision, she created two sons with her magic, which she would lose afterwards. This caused her to later go off the deep end in the ''Avengers Disassembled'' storyline, where attacked the Avengers, blaming them for her loss, and she killed Vision, Hawkeye, and Ant-Man (Scott Lang). And after that she caused the ''House of M'' event by altering reality so that mutants were the majority and Magneto ruled the world. She did so with the suggestion of Quicksilver, who seriously feared that the Avengers and X-men would euthanise her due to how dangerous and unstable they perceived her to be. And at the end of that, emotionally distressed from losing her children again and from her dad's mutant bullshit, she said "No more mutants", which depowered over 90% of all mutants and prevented new ones from appearing for a while. In-universe, the event is called the ''Decimation'' and ''M-Day''. Even after getting therapy and becoming stable, she never really lived that down, and the mutants despised her for this for a long time.

Her magic sons, Billy and Tommy, were reincarnated and are now Wiccan and Speed.
