== City States and Factions == '''Template''' Name: Location: Population: Theme: Strengths Weaknesses Major Society Qualities: Major Affinities: Name: Engines East Location: Thalgrund Population: 4 million. Humans, fox-ear, cat-ear, wolf-ear. Theme: German tanks and walking tanks, magi-dieselpunk aesthetic. Strengths: Advanced engine production, durable tank-type mecha. Weaknesses: Limited automation, crew-operated. Major Society Qualities: Industry, Technomagic, Infrastructure (''The trains always run on time'') Major Affinities: Mechanical, Gaming, Warfare (''War without hate'') Name: Kollective State Location: Six city-states on Thalgrund. Population: 20 Million humans, various Thernanthropes, AI's. Theme: Russian rugged mecha, lots of chainsaws. Strengths: Robust low-maintenance machines, massive scale mass-production Weaknesses: Low tech, organization, on the frontlines of the Neuroi War. Major Society Qualities: Public Education, Industry, Healthy Major Affinities: Theater, Alcohol (''You think we get into these machines '''sober?'''''), Warfare The Kollective State is a coalition of six city-states bound together by treaties and mutual defense forces, making them one of the largest factions in Mech Haven in population and mech-strength. However distance between city-states and danger on the roads from the Neuroi mean the members of the coalition have more autonomy than expected in how to fight against the alien invaders. Kollective Mechs lean towards simple and functional designs, discarding advanced technology and magitech enhancements to make machines the envy of the rest of the realm for their engineering quality and reliability. While lacking in top-end capabilities or special equipment, they are low-maintenance and very rugged, and can be easily mass-produced with minimal magic parts besides the engines. No hanger queens here.
