== In Battlefleet Gothic: Armada 2 == The most glass cannon of glass cannons. Playing Dark Eldar in BF:A2 is a lot like playing Dark Eldar on normal tabletop. These are your elite faction meant for only the most experienced of players. They are a high risk and high reward faction that allows you to do a [[Fist of the North Star|tremendous and ludicrous amounts of criticals (Destroying enemy fleets before they even notice)]], but any wrong step will punish your cardboard vessels into crumpled tissue paper. Their Shadowfield as aforementioned replaces the Holo-Fields of both Craftworld Eldars and Eldar Corsairs. However it should be noted that a Shadowfield is not a shield or barrier per se, but an active camouflage system. What this means is that, if something hits your ship, its gonna hit <u>'''HARD'''</u> with full damage. So you must really rely on your ships' speed to evade counterfire as you are not taking it to the face like Void Shields nor are you gonna get any damage reduction through a Holo-Field. Fortunately, Dark Eldar vessels hit like a freight train with the highest crit chances out of any faction. While they may not do so hot in close combat, their giant blades that our BDSM knife-ears like to put on their ships mean that any enemy vessel would get a face full of surprises.
