===Light Infantry=== '''Kamael Light Infantry:''' Kamael are the basic Tohaa troopers. They have pretty standard basic trooper stats. *'''Triad:''' However, they have the Fireteam: Triad rule allowing them to link with other troopers with the Triad rule. These make for cheaper fireteam filler, and they even have a few specialist options: White Hacking Device, Forward Observer, and Paramedic. *'''Hatail Aelis Keesan:''' Aelis Keesan is Tohaa's Dire Foe character based on the Kamael profile. She's a very pricey trooper, but she brings quite a lot to table. She has Regeneration (which gives Shock Immunity), Fireteam: Triad, and Sensor (which allows Triangulated Fire). She is a Killer Hacker making her a, ITS Specialist, and there are 2 options. Both options include D-Charges, Nanopulser, and Flash Pulse (at WIP14), but she gets to choose between either a Viral Combi Rifle or K1 Combi Rifle. Both K1 and Viral are good, but Viral tends to be scarier. Aelis is a toolbox trooper who brings a lot to her Triad. **'''Triad:''' In a Triad Fireteam, she can fulfill multiple roles as a specialist trooper and a short ranged gunfighter. She's pricey, but brings a lot to the team, but make sure she's accompanied by tougher troopers. '''Sakiel Regiment:''' Sakiel are a light Symbiont Armor trooper. Symbiont Armor gives them that extra wound, however, Sakiel are very inexpensive for a multi-wound trooper. They also have quite an arsenal, and a couple of specialist options to choose from: Paramedic and Forward Observer. *'''Triad:''' Sakiels also have the Fireteam: Triad rule, making them perfect mid-ranged point man for your Triads. With Symbiont Armor, these guys can keep fighting even after taking a wound. '''Kumotail Bioingeneers:''' Kumotail have both Doctor and Engineer skills and with D-Charges, they are excellent ITS specialists. *'''Triad:''' In the Triad team, Kumotails need to depend on the other 2 team members to get it to the objective. Kumotails costs 22pts which is fairly expensive considering she doesn't have Symbiont Armor, and is a soft target. *'''Chaksa Servants:''' Chaksa Servants are the G:Servants for the Kumotail. Unfortunately, the Kumotail cannot be in a Triad if she has a Servant. '''Chaksa Auxiliars:''' Chaksa Auxiliars are very useful tools. The 10pt baggage Chaksa are great order filler, and even comes with Sensor and HFT. There is a Chaksa with a 360 Visor, HMG, and Neurocinetics as the Tohaa version of a TR Remote. The last option gives the Chaksa Auxiliar a Smart HRL <s>which can also be useful especially with Symbiobugs</s>. Symbiobugs only work in Reactive turn, while Guided can only be used in Active, so no. But these dudes are very fun to use as Datatrackers in those missions where you get extra points for killing stuff with your DT. '''Tohaa Diplomatic Delegates:''' The Tohaa Diplomatic Delegate is an irregular 5pt Special Operative. She's got very little in offensive power (Nanopulser, Pistol, Flash Pulse), but she's super dirt cheap and a Specialist. The Irregular doesn't necessarily hurt the order pool because of how order efficient the army can be. Not bad at all. '''Nikoul Ambushers:''' These guys are tough turret pieces to deal with. Nikouls do not have the Triad rule. However, they can deploy in a Foxhole with a fearsome Viral Sniper Rifle. MSV1 can help deal with Camo and Mimetism, and there is a minelayer option with Antipersonnel Mines - adding to the deployment zone defense. The best part is that he has Symbiont Armor making him multi-wound. '''Rasail Boarding Team:''' Rasail are pure aggression pieces. Firstly, their Symbiont Armor has 2 wounds! This makes them 3 wound Light Infantry. Though only ARM1, Rasails come with Nanoscreens, and since they carry partial cover with them they can run out and play aggressively. They don't have the Triad rule, however they come with a G:Synchronized Chaksa buddy with a HFT. They are often taken as Lieutenants for that extra LT Special Order. Though expensive, Rasails are very strong attack pieces. '''Kotail Mobile Unit:''' Kotail have a crazy combination of stats/skills: 6-4MOV, Super Jump, V:Courage, Holoprojector L2, and even Symbiont Armor! The Spitfire choice is a very hard hitting alpha striker, and there's even a Forward Observer specialist option for quick ITS objective grab-n-runs. A few options even have E/M Grenades and with PH12 they can throw them well. Once the Kotail loses his Symbiont Armor, he drops in MOV, PH, ARM, and drops Super Jump and Holoprojector L2. '''Kaeltar Specialists:''' Take 'em. Kaeltar have super cheap Chain of Command options, they have Fireteam: Triad, and they bring Symbiomates and bombs. Symbiobombs are great, however, the Chain of Command options only come with Symbiomates - which are just as great. 'Mates will keep your troopers with Symbiont Armor safe for a round of shooting. Also Chain of Command is an ITS specialist. *'''Triad:''' Kaeltar aren't very great in gunfights. They are usually taken for the Chain of Command as a specialist and Symbiomates. Like the Kumotail, they'll need some escorts to be taken to the objective. However, if you are taking an obvious or aggressive LT, consider keeping the Kaeltar Chain of Command back and hidden. '''Kosuil Assault Pioneers:''' Kosuil are mid cost demolition experts. Thanks to Symbiont Armor, they have a second wound. These Engineers will get your ITS buttons pushed, and can even accomplish Sabotage with D-Charges. *'''Triad:''' Kosuil can cover multiple roles like Aelis: ITS Specialist and short ranged gun fighter. Depending on the weapon options, Kosuil can also offer some board control with Minelayer, anti armor with K1 Combi Rifle, and even a long ranged threat with the Panzerfaust. '''Kerail Preceptor:''' The Kerail come G:Synchronized with either the Surda or Mutan Symbiobeast. Kerail has 6-4MOV -fast enough to keep up with his beasts-. Though very soft with only ARM1, he has Symbiont Armor. Combat-wise he's average, but you're generally taking them for the monsters not the controller. The downside of either team is their larger footprint, and that the team doesn't behave with synergy. *'''Surda Symbiobeast:''' Surda are CC beasts. They are armed with Viral CCW at CC22 and Pulzars. The Surda options are pretty low cost, but they are VERY short ranged. However, the Kerail handler comes with Smoke Grenades (the ONLY normal Smoke Grenades in the army). *'''Mutan Symbiobeast:''' With lame BS11 and just as lame dual Contenders, the Mutan options isn't very liked - especially so since the controller doesn't come with Smoke Grenades. The Contender is a short ranged weapon, and Kerail comes with an even shorter LSG. '''Krakot Renegades:''' They have their uses as a nice little striker. However, there are other troopers in the army that can cover any roles Krakots have. Also it's not necessarily a solid plan to rely on a lucky Meta-Chemistry roll, so there's a level of uncertainty with these guys. '''Sukeul Commandos:''' Sukeuls are some of the best gunfighters in the Tohaa army. Not only do they have an excellent BS13 and Symbiont Armor, but they also have Stealth, Mimetism, V:Courage, and Veteran L1! Rare for Tohaa, these guys carry heavier support weapons and can join a fireteam. There are 3 Forward Observer options with D-Charges (one of them can even be an LT). *'''Triad:''' As already mentioned, Sukeuls can carry support weapons in a Triad. They get the extra burst and Mimetism gives them the edge in ranged combat. '''Kaauri Sentinels:''' Kaauri are great little guardians. They are engineered to deal with Impersonation and Holoprojector with Biometric Visors and SSL2. They're also great as just corner guards. MSV1 helps mitigate Camo/ODD MODs. Though their stats are about average, they are fairly inexpensive. *It's worth noting that they are the only troopers in Tohaa with STR value. If you want to patch one back up, you'll need an Engineer. Also they are the only eligible target for the Test Run Classified Objective.
