==Oshkosh==

Just near the edge of the blast, refugees pour in here, an abundance of military vehicles from the nearby Oshkosh Truck Corporation makes it a no brainer as a base of operations.

The entire Fox River is completely polluted with radiation from fallout, same goes for most of lake Winnebago. The Water-line has increased over the years due to some bridges collapsing, making it difficult to get to the downtown area. Most buildings still stand, but due to floods some buildings on the shore of the Fox river are ready to collapse or already have collapsed. It's best to stay a good distance away from the river. Also here's a warning: STAT OUT OF THE CITY CENTER. I never dared to venture into the place myself but I've heard it's glowing bright green with radiation.

I suggest going southwest, near west high, completely avoiding the downtown area. And if that's not safe enough for you, head to Ripon. That's probably the safest thing to do. Never really left to go there myself, I've heard the journey is roughly 2 hours on foot, so I'm staying here in oshkosh.
