==Blood Bowl on /tg/==

As of 2018, a quickly dying Blood Bowl General might turn up now and then, but its mostly history. Once upon a time, it used to be fairly active and steady, with the /tg/ main league on Fumbbl having been one of the more active ones at its best times. 

But the truth is, /bbg/ has always been dead. It was the kind of general that needed a handful of dedicated anons who kept it from falling off the catalog during the night, or make a new one in the morning if it did fall off. Even when a dozen of new teams joined a new league tournament and lots of interested anons posted in the threads, it was still the same ~10 people, who to this day still play and form the core of the /tg/ Blood Bowl Fumbbl leagues, who kept the thread alive.

At one point (after the public interest generated from the Blood Bowl 2 video game finally started dying down for good,) said people decided that its a better idea to just move on to Discord, instead of bumping a dead general on rotation for eternity. Especially since IRC was used to set up and chat about the /tg/ leagues for years now anyway. 
However, this promptly pissed off those anons, who are of the opinion that everything off-site is absolute cancer.
And in particular did it piss off those anons, who hated Discord more than anything.
As consequence, much butthurt was had. 

So for a while things ran side by side. But since the main team behind the general now mostly resided on Discord, the generals started dying quicker with every attempt to make one. Much to the disarray of those anons who still hated the Discord split. And even though the Discord managed to gather over 150 members, without the general as support, the /tg/ leagues eventually started losing numbers as well, with mostly only the abovementioned core team remaining as players and active members in the Discord channel.

Whether the /bbg/ will ever return as a steady general, probably solely depends on whether some anons are ready to put in the time to keep it afloat or not.

As of 2020, the General format has been replaced by a more freeform thread started only with the phrase "PLAY BLOOD BOWL!". This format has generally been more successful as many anons discuss their Witch Elf Waifus.

As of late 2020 and 2021, Blood Bowl discussion mostly takes place in /gwsg/ - Games workshop Specialist Games general.
